1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

1 John 5:1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

1 John 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

In all of the above verses John is addressing those who are "born of God".

Whosoever is born of God, does not commit sin, loves his brother, overcomes the world, keeps himself and that wicked one does not touch him.

1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Peter distinguishes being born again, as not being born of the corruptible seed of the flesh, the natural physical descent, but rather, the incorruptible word of God.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

John 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Israel had to believe on the name of Jesus to be born of God, not just born physically an Israelite.

Matthew 3:9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Israel would not enter into the Davidic kingdom on earth, and reign with Christ, by being born children of Abraham in the flesh; Israel had to be born again by the Spirit of God (John 3:5-8).

John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

It is the nation of Israel that must be born again. It is not accurate to say members of the body of Christ, in this dispensation, are born again; in all of Paul's epistles being born again is never applied to members of the body of Christ.

@Doug

Yours is a failure to rightly handle the word, 2 Timothy 2:15, and a failure to understand what born again entails, implies, means.

To be born again is to be brought from being spiritually dead in sins, and to be made alive, Ephesians 2, which includes regeneration, salvation &c. Ephesians 1, Titus, Romans, 1 Peter, 2 Peter, in fact the entirety of Scripture teach this is for all the elect. Jew or Gentile it makes no difference, Romans 10:12; Galatians 3:28; Ephesians 2:14.

even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,[Ephesians 2:5-6]

In which verse does Paul say the body of Christ is born again.
1 Peter and 2 Peter is not written to the body of Christ.

Of course it is, both saved Jews and Gentiles are one body. Peters epistles are for the body of Christ, specifically the elect.

Part of your very serious issue is you are a "verseologist" always looking for "a verse" that says something you know will not be found, while wrongly handling the word, yet the truth you deny is easily deduced from putting it all together.

I'll assume you're stricken with hyper-dispensationalism.

Absolutely right but, being made alive is not being born again

Galatians 3:28 does not say anything about being born again.
If there is no verse to substantiate doctrine then what is doctrine based on?

1st and 2nd Peter is written to the scattered strangers, elect (1Peter 1:1-2) which does not describe the body of Christ, but Israel

You need to look again for understanding, it is to the elect, which includes the entire body of which there is only one.

And this, showing we are also included:

"And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, " 2 Peter 3:15.

Just as Paul's epistles were written to and were for both Jew and Gentile, so too Peters epistles. You're merely twisting Scripture as Peter solemnly warned against in the next verse and context.

More BALONEY from the master of baloney. We'll give you an A for persistence and an F for failure to understand fundamental Bible truths.

@Doug you posted this verse...

1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

You realize that you have kicked every non-Jewish believer out of the kingdom of God by applying this solely to the Jews? If we, the Gentiles, are not born again, then we can not love God. And no one who does not love God is saved.

Does the church you attend teach this as well my friend?

For the record, and to expose more of the hyper-dispensationalist errors of @Doug he fails to realize that the general epistle of 1 John was to Gentile and Jewish believers in Asia minor. It is not the objective or purpose of 1 John "to prove only Jews are born again."

Doug is simply misusing and abusing Scripture. Since he is under this hyper dispy deception he sees his error everywhere. Don't go down that road, it is a slick trick of Satan to get people off track into false issues and forget about the importance of self-examination and true sanctification.

Note that there is no division in Christ between the two (yet Doug is attempting to do this very thing, causing division) since they are all one, but just for clarification it is not only about or to Jews. Note Galatians 3:8.

All true believers are born again as 1 John attests.

This is eerily akin to Paul preaching one message to the Gentiles and Peter preaching an entirely different message to the Jews.
