Their courage is commendable but I am not sure they were being obedient to God. Jesus said, "When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next." We must always be willing to die for Christ if we must, but we should also seek to preserve our lives so we can continue the work of preaching the gospel. When Paul's life was threatened he would go to another town to carry on his work.
