When God will judge His House, there are 2 kinds of inheritances for believers, including former believers.

Below is Paul giving an example of how a believer can err from the truth and have their faith overthrown and yet, "nevertheless", he is still saved to be called to depart from iniquity or else.

2 Timothy 2:18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some. 19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

There is a vessel unto honor in His House that have departed from iniquity.

Then there are vessels unto dishonor that did not depart from iniquity, but still in His House.

There is a vessels of gold and silver that are in His House

There are vessels of wood and earth that are in His House.

1 Corinthians 15:35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?... 38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body. 39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds. 40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. 42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

There is a glorified celestial body and a glorified terrestrial body.

The firstfruits of the resurrection will be like the angels that never die and have a place in the City of God above.

Luke 20:34 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage: 35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: 36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Those resurrected after the great tribulation will not have the power of the second death over them but the power of the first death will for why they would need to eat from the tree of life in the City of God on earth.

Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Revelation 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations... 14Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

That is why those saints coming out of the great tribulation had to have God wipe the tears from their eyes to get passed the loss of their first inheritance of being that vessel unto honor in His House. Now damned forever as a vessel unto dishonor is why God had to perform the miracle to stop the weeping and gnashing of teeth over that loss.

Revelation 7:13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? 14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. 16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. 17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

So former believers and believers that err are both called to go before that throne of grace for help from Jesus Christ, Our Good Shepherd, to discern and depart from iniquity so they too may obtain the eternal glory that comes with our salvation and that is to be received by the Bridegroom as that vessel unto honor in His House.

That is what running that race is all about; not for obtaining salvation, but for obtaining the eternal glory that comes with our salvation as that is the high prize of our calling.

2 Timothy 2:10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. 11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: 12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: 13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself. 14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers. 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. 15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

The consequence for not running that race is clear; not only can one lose their crowns, but they can become castaways; hence becoming vessels unto dishonor in His House.

1 Corinthians 9:24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. 25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. 26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: 27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

Hebrews 12:1Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

1 Thessalonians 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. 22 Abstain from all appearance of evil. 23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. 25 Brethren, pray for us.

2 Timothy 4:18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

No, sorry Enow, you misunderstood the passages. There are not two glories for vessels of honour & dishonour. The passage says that Vessels of honour will be praised accordingly, while those of dishonour will not inherit any glory.
There are two different glories between the celestial & the terrestrial, but the former is eternal, while the latter is temporal and to be destroyed.

Keep it simple, and don't isolate the passages as you are doing.
In regards to the celestial & terrestrial, Paul was referring to the bodies that the saved will have, not to who or what was glorified. Plus, in the passages about a house having many items, he is saying that some that are of more noble purpose will be elected, while those made for inferior use, will not. Both will not be glorified.
You've taken the verses out of context to make your conclusion.

Sorry Enow, but you are somewhat confused about this.

    1. God gives His children an eternal inheritance FREELY BY HIS GRACE. Just as He gives eternal life to the believer freely by His grace. Thus no one can lose either eternal life or his or her eternal inheritance.

    2. The Lord Jesus Christ will judge THE WORKS of all His saints at the judgment seat of Christ. At that time there will be either rewards or loss of rewards, crowns or loss of crowns. But neither the salvation nor the inheritance will be in jeopardy.

    3. If you think that's not fair, then salvation by grace through faith is not fair either. As to *former believers" God chastises His genuine children only, and a true believer remains a child of God always.

As in not wearing a wedding garment and cast out? I can agree with that, since any work that denies Him, they will be denied by Him, but He still abides ( 2 Timothy 2:12-13 ) & He calls them servants for why they are receiving stripes per the knowledge of Him for not being ready in Luke 12:40-49

AND per your reference in general of 1 Corinthians 3:10-17, verse 15 cites before the destruction of his physical body which is the temple of the Holy Spirit in verses 16-17 with 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, the spirit is still saved even though left behind to face that "fire" coming on the earth.

So something to ponder about with His help.

Actually, the call to depart from iniquity is to have that eternal glory of being that vessel unto honor in His House. 2 Timothy 2:20

That "attempt" at cross referencing was to explain how that vessel unto dishonor can still be in His House; the vessels of wood and earth.

When a saint is cut off, they are still His servants, but they will receive stripes per the measure of knowledge for not being ready when the Bridegroom comes; see Luke 12:40-49

This is where the vessels unto dishonor comes from that are in His House for not departing from iniquity. That is why even former believers are called to depart from iniquity because that foundation and seal is not going away. ( 2 Timothy 2:18-21 )

The faithful saying is if we deny Him, He will deny us; but even if we believe not, He still abides in us. ( 2 Timothy 2:10-13 )

So there is a race to be run, but not for obtaining salvation, but the eternal glory that comes with our salvation and that is to be that vessel unto honor in His House to attend the Marriage Supper of the Lamb in Heaven.[/QUOTE]

There is a greater risk than the loss of rewards of crowns and that is to become a castaway that even Paul says could happen to him if he did not keep and bring his body under subjection as in not sowing to the works of the flesh in reaping corruption, but sowing to the fruits of the Spirit with his confidence in the Lord Jesus Christ to enable him to do it since only He can finish His work in us to His glory. ( Philippians 1:6,11 )

Believers will be judged by what they build on that foundation ( 1 Corinthians 3:10-17 ); and the consequences is being left behind to face the calamity of fire coming on the earth and the coming great tribulation as a result for not being ready. The destruction of the temple of God which is our bodies ( 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 ) for defiling the temple of God and not departing from iniquity is physical death but the spirit is still saved as per 1 Corinthians 3:15.

So there is a race to be run, but not for obtaining salvation, but the eternal glory that comes with our salvation and that is to be that vessel unto honor in His House to attend the Marriage Supper of the Lamb in Heaven.

One can see God warning of judging a church at Thyatira to this effect here in Revelation.

Revelation 2:18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass; 19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. 21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. 22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. 23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. 24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden. 25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.

The passage was referring to the 'iniquity' of the false teachings which he spoke of in the preceding verses. That is, depart from error.

You've correlated the wrong passages. Plus, again, those that were not prepared were 'cut into pieces, and assigned a place with the unbelievers'. You know what an unbeliever is, right?

Are you preaching 'once saved always saved'? You've misconstrued the passages.

I don't know where you made your conclusion from, Paul is saying that one''s doubt of Christ does not affect or dissuade how he still accepts those who believe. EG; Just because an atheist doesn't believe in God, it doesn't detract at all from God's sovereignty and invariable impact on the universe.

No, the race is for salvation, which is the eternal glory. Both are the same.

You are building a premise adding in your own conjecture, things that are not true.

In the above comment, you interpret (change) "glory" to mean "glorified." This you do against the scriptures which say that the flesh is not "glorified", but rather "profits nothing", and that "glory" is limited to the spirit, for "God is spirit."

And then you go on to build upon this faulty foundation.

I believe the truth of that reference was no matter who errs and has their faith overthrown, "nevertheless" the foundation of God stands sure with His seal for why even former believers are to called to depart from iniquity to avoid becoming damned as that vessel unto dishonor in His House.

An unbeliever is one who never believed in Jesus Christ to be saved. The fact that Jesus is talking to His disciples is Him saying His words of warnings apply to them as those that believe in Him.

Well, that certainly explains your belief. Here is a passage that clearly supports mine.

John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. 38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. 39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. 40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

But which last day is it? Of the firstfruits of the resurrection as vessels unto honor in His House or as resurrected after the great tribulation as vessels unto dishonor in His House?

An atheist is not saved but a former believer still is because He still abides as per 2 Timothy 2:12-13

Since Jesus warned that many will fall away from the faith as per Matthew 7:13-27 & Luke 13:24-30, and Paul did too in 1 Timothy 4:1-2, as both exposes these "movements of the spirit" ( assuming the spirits was the Holy Spirit when it is not ) THIS is the falling away from the faith spoken of in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3 that was to happen first before the great tribulation comes when that son of perdition is revealed.

Paul goes on to testify of those of the damned to become vessels unto dishonor in His House for believing the lie that they can receive the Holy Spirit apart from salvation again and again and again for why God would permit that strong delusion to occur ( 2 Timothy 2:9-12 ). This is the iniquity spoken of, that was happening in Paul's day ( 2 Thessalonians 2:7 ) as he reminded believers of the tradition taught of us of WHEN we had received the sanctification of the Spirit and the belief of the truth was at the calling of the gospel in 2 Thessalonians 2:13-15

Paul continues on addressing those that have fallen away from the faith that are disorderly as those in those movement of the spirits are, that we are to withdraw from them ( 2 Thessalonians 3:1-7 ) but to do this not in treating them as the enemy, but to admonish them as brothers still ( 2 Thessalonians 3:14-15 )

So What will Jesus do for the lost sheep left behind that was not of His fold that follow His voice but a stranger's voice? John 10:16 Why? Because He is the Good Shepherd and He will lose none of all the Father has given Him.

Since there are vessels unto honor in His House and vessels unto dishonor in His House for why the call to depart from iniquity is to be that vessel unto honor in His House, then that is about the eternal glory that comes with our salvation which is to be that vessel unto honor in His House.

2 Timothy 2:10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

    This is the faithful saying...

2 Timothy 2:11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: 12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: 13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

So even for unrepentant saints and former believers left behind, He still abides for why there are vessels unto dishonor in His House.

The saints coming out of the great tribulation will not be of the furstfruit of the resurrection as vessels unto honor in His House. That is the loss for why there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth and why God will wipe the tears from the eyes of those coming out of the great tribulation to get passed that loss.

2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

So what we build on that foundation will be judged but the spirit is still saved as per verse 15 of 1 Corinthians 3:10-17 . This is about what kind of an inheritance we shall inherit; the firstfruit of the resurrection or they that be Christ's at His coming.

Consider the warning given to the church at Thyatira in Revelations that if they do not repent of their fornication, they will be cast into the bed of the coming great tribulation as God will judge every church and thus every believer according to their works with death for defiling the temple of God in Revelations 2:18-23

The race is run by faith thus by the grace of God when looking to the author & finisher of our faith to help us lay aside every weight & sin for the high prize of our calling which is more than just the rewards of crowns of His crowning achievements in us, but to avoid becoming a castaway thus being received as that vessel unto honor in His House to attend the Marriage Supper of the Lamb

The topic of the 2 glorified bodies was to the question in the reference about what body is raised from the dead.

1 Corinthians 15:35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?

To wit, I made the application towards the two kinds of vessels that are in His House per 2 Timothy 2:20

2 Timothy 2:20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonor.

Paul mentions damnation for those whom has fallen away from the faith in 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 and yet he kept addressing those wicked and unreasonable men that have not faith that do not follow after the traditions taught of us as disorderly in 2 Thessalonians 3:1-7 whereby we are to withdraw from them but not treat them as the enemy, but admonish them as brothers still ( 2 Thessalonians 3:141-5 ). That is testifying that these saints are at risk of being damned forever as vessels unto dishonor in His House unless they repent before the Bridegroom comes.

Even Revelation was warned to repent or else be cast into the bed of the coming great tribulation; Revelations 2:18-23

Anyway, there are 2 kinds of vessels in God's House and you have to wonder why the vessels of wood and earth also known as the vessels unto dishonor, are still in His House? Is it because they testify to the power of God in salvation for even those who believe in His name? I'd say yes.

Those seeking inheritance do so to gain something for 'self'.
The prodigal son did not return 'home' for inheritance.

OK, but which of these says that some of God's children won't join the others being caught up? I'm not seeing that.

Correct. When the father went into the field to speak to the elder son, the father told him that all that he has was his; which is indicating that this was not so for the prodigal son. The prodigal son gave up his first inheritance for wild living. It is gone. He cannot get it back, but because he is still son, he can and will come home.

That is where you get the vessels unto honor in His House and the prodigal son as that vessel unto dishonor in His House as they are both in His House.

1 Corinthians 3:15-17 cites the spirit is saved but the physical bodies which is the temple of God, will be destroyed, hence physical death. So what we build on that foundation will be judged and if unrepentant iniquity is on that foundation when the Bridegroom comes, He will disqualify that saint for why there are reprobates in His words that shall be left behind to face the coming great tribulation.

    Here is one warning to the church at Thyatira to repent or else, in spite of their good works;

Revelation 2:18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass; 19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. 20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

Here is a promise for those that hold fast and not depart from it that they will not be on that earth when that hour of temptation comes.

Revelation 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; 8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. 9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. 10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. 11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

ok, thank you Enow for fully explaining your position. As you know by now, I don't interpret the verses that you quoted, to the same conclusion that you do. And thus, I believe that as easily as one gained their faith (preaching and focus), they can, by the same means (false teaching and distraction), lose it.
Like the seeds sown among the rocks, shallow soil, weeds, and fertile land.

Look at the pronouns. A few things against thee. You allow her. I will cast her, and them.

Yes, I understand. But to assume "glorified bodies", mixing what is born of the flesh with that which born of the spirit, is error.

Wood and earth vessels are made of the elements that are to be destroyed by fervent heat and with fire. They only remain as long as "today" is today.
