Some Arabs remain in the Middle East as Christians. Many have fled and sadly lost their culture and the particular practices of their faith. What was once the heart and center of Christianity had been conquered by the Muhammadans. The Catholic Church is not all "Latin" they are true Catholics, but retain their culture and way of worship. They are generally encouraged to avoid becoming mainstream "Roman" Catholics when immigrating. I knew an Eastern Catholic who wanted to be a "Latin" Catholic PRIEST and it was an ordeal. Orthodox, Coptics, and others have somewhat similar situations but I am not to speak for them.
