So you believe that dinosaurs are still walking around on earth today like the YEC folks do? The fossil record doesn't have to rely on carbon dating to know this earth is very ancient, and not just 6,000 years old.
The “EARTH”, is Dry LAND.
If you study “creation” carefully, and compare with basic science you should be familiar with...
WET LAND, exists under the Oceans, Seas, etc.
Creation of the EARTH, WAS God basically moving His Spirit (POWER) upon the “WATERS” and “extracting” DRY LAND out of the “WATERS”.
DRY LAND called “EARTH”, did not exist, “UNTIL”, Gods “extraction”.
Animals, Plants, Mankind, did not exist, “UNTIL”, AFTER DRY LAND “existed”.
Scientists trying to “gauge” the Age of the Earth, by “testing” Dry Land that once was NOT Dry Land, and claiming the “DRY LAND” is of such and such AGE, and calling it an “AGE of the EARTH”, is junk science.
The AGE of the EARTH (is the AGE OF DRY LAND). The AGE of WET LAND, was NEVER revealed to us.
The problem with “junk science”... is the “therefore”, conclusions.

...Finding fossils (of animal bones), created out of DRY LAND, and dating the bones, Against the (out of thin air number), they have decided the AGE of WET LAND existed, but are Calling it EARTH, (BEFORE IT WAS EARTH...DRY)
No, the EARTH....DRY LAND, is not older than 6,000 (give or take a FEW years)...
WET LAND...most likely existed for millions of years, yet irrelevant.
LARGE “dry land” (earth) roaming, air breathing animals were created out of DRY LAND...NOT WET LAND!
LARGE LAND Animals, (men have named “dinosaurs” and “categorized” them by body structure)...were created out of DRY LAND, and to no surprise; Weather effects, VIA Gods Power and Pleasure; have EFFECTED the HABITAT of the EARTH, “animals” required as necessary to “sustain” their LIFE...and HAVE become “extinct”...dying off, Because of their “HABITAT” no longer able to “sustain” their LIFE.
It’s a foreshadow LESSON, for mankind.
