My time here is coming to a close. I have tried as best I can to share the truth that God miraculously gave me and commissioned me to share almost 15 years ago. During that time, I have been on four forums. My message has not changed or 'evolved'. Truth does not evolve.

This post will be the last one I make here. I want to clearly share the pathway to see the feet of every child of God planted in victory over the world, the flesh and the devil. I suspect this will be multiple posts as it might get long, even for me, lol.

So, I pray you bear with me, open your heart, and ask God if what you hear strikes a chord deep within you. There have been a lot of prophets of late, declaring this and declaring that, all tickling the ears of the hearers. But here we are, at the end of the age, and ears cannot be tickled. Hearts must be broken.

Am I a prophet? Many have asked me what I believed over the years, and only a few have received an answer. If I had declared it to be true, ridicule would have followed, and as a 71 year old father raising two adopted boys, my grandson Jack, 11, and my great grandson Gavin, 4, I was fearful of the repercussions.

So, for these past 14 plus years, I have been like a modern day version of Jonah, called to deliver a message from God, but fearful of man. I say that to my shame. It matters not what any think of me. It simply matters what you do with what God has asked me to share.

I have hesitated in stepping out in full time ministry, and for 12 plus years, it seems I was content to simply share on the various forums. But in mid-2019, the Lord spoke to me that shakings would begin soon and I began to share that on the forum I was on at the time. I had no clue what they were but we now are seeing both the shakings as well as the effects they are having on the world and especially on the church.

They will not stop. We will never go back to what was, what we took for granted. That time is over. I do not say these things to scare anyone, and the truth is that what God has for us is our only solid rock of safety. But even fear is good if it drives us out of our lukewarmness into His open arms.

So, I apologize in advance if what I say now upsets you. Some will scoff and attack, but I know as well there are hearts here hungry for the truth. May God bless you with vision to see, and believe, that God can save to the uttermost those who are not just content with forgiveness but who long for pure hearts.

I do not know if I will be banned before I can share all that God has for you. But if you want to stay in touch, my website/ vlog, soon to be set up, is thereluctantprophet.org

Those who will ridicule, knock yourselves out. I will not respond here. If you want to stay in contact with me here, simply leave me your email address. I will keep you informed when my site is up and running.

The entire message revolves around sin, and our relationship to it as His children. His goal was not jist to forgive us but to set us free indeed, by HIS definition, which was..... not committing sin. Some think this impossible and remain content to sin willfully. Yes, it is true that If we sin, we have an advocate. But God's will is that we sin not, and has provided a way rhat can happen, not by our efforts, but by being kept from yielding to temptation by God Himself actually causing us to take the way of escape He always faithfully provides.

The early church possessed this truth and we see what happened. But grievous wolves crept in after Paul's death, and for 1900 years the church has never folded, but at the same time, never regained the power, the love, the singleness of eye that those blessed early saints were a part of.

We have all heard of the latter rain, to the point it is a confusing mess. But there isxan outpouring to come, and it will not only equal the book of Acts, it will surpass it. We all know of the great falling away.... which is always everyone who does not believe like we do, lol. But what we do not understand is what precipitates that falling away..... the discovering of how to light or lamps. We who are true children of God have the Holy Spirit, but there is no arguing that the early believers walked in a higher way than we do. But that is all about to change.

What must happen first? Our hearts must be broken for how far are from God. Sin hardens hearts and until we can figure out how to get free of it, our hearts will be encrusted with.the results of our sin and pure faith will be impossible.

Remember what we are told? We will KNOW that what we ask for in prayer will be received, because we do those things that are acceptable to God. God is fixing to bring each one of us to that place, no matter how weak, no matter how bound in sin we have become. Glory!

So, dear ones, even those who have withstood my words, may God lovingly draw you back to Him. Those who look to this world for their answers will find nothing but heartache. But blessed be the ones who are willing to look up, away from both their strengths as well as their weaknesses and failures, and ask God to awaken them as to how to please them.

I will not be responding to any posts here. I want to simply share my heart before I leave. Again, if this message touches you, please pm me with a way to contact you. May God bless you all.

to be continued....

many blessings,

Gids

So what exactly is the message God has asked me to share? It is simply that there is a way God has provided ever since the day of Pentecost whereby every child of God can walk in victory over sin and self, the world and its allurements, and ultimately the devil himself.

The early church knew this. And this is why Ananias and Saphira met their demise, simply for embellishing their gift to the church for.... pride. You see, the church walked in such purity that God made sure His people understood. The purpose of our salvation was to save us from sin.... not just its penalty but its grip.

It is not something we attain by self-effort. It is not something that happens with simply the passage of time. But, it IS real, and it IS for us in this life. Romans 7 is a valley all are destined to pass through, even as the wilderness was for the Israelites. But jist as their three week journey ended up taking 40 years, so we too have made Romans 7 our permanent abode. Why did Israel fail to go in an possess the land God had most definitely given them? One reason. Unbelief. And like Israel, we too have ended up running religious laps in our own version of the wilderness because of the self-same reason. An evil heart of unbelief.

God's declared will for us is that we know how to possess our vessel in sanctification and honor. He desires close fellowship with Him ,abiding in the vine, drawing our strength from Him , and not fulfilling the lusts of the flesh. So the first step in obtaining such a walk from God is that we must believe it possible. No man can stop sinning. BUT..... God can and will keep a man from falling, by delivering him from the power of darkness. He not only will make a way of escape. He has promised to cause us to take that way of escape every time.

Impossible you say? Absolutely, if you listen to the enemy. if you listen to your flesh. If you listen to your preacher. But to the one who is desperate to be delivered from self, from sin, from yielding again and again to temptation, from a boring prayer life, to the one ready to not take no for an answer, you are closer than you think to the life Jesus died to give you.

Why is getting free from sin so important? Well, other than the fact it displeases God and sullies His Holy name, it also hardens our hearts to where our faith becomes weaker. But there is another reason that has come into view in this late hour. With what is approaching on the horizon, we are going to need victroy over it. ALL of it. The darkness residing in every man has for many laid dormant as people have managed to live lives that look outwardly good, making a fair show in the flesh. Nevertheless, rhat dark seed can and will sprout in our hearts if we do not seek God to free us from it.

Those days of our 'goodness' are coming to a close, and fast. Temptations are about to increase in strength and will-power will be no match for what the enemy has planned for us. Do not think such a thing is impossible. If we cannot stand up against small temptations now, how in the world can we when the darkness is palpable?

The Word tells us plainly.. "Let all who name the name of the Lord depart from iniquity." So, do you name the name of the Lord? And if the answer is yes, are you departing iniquity? Do you fine yourself even wanting to? Because if not, that is the spirit of Laodecia abiding in you, and it MUST be cast out.

To sum up on this lesson. Jesus died to deliver us from evil. Bot just forgiveness. Freedom from sin's grip. In times past, after the close of the first century, God's church became a mixture ofcwheat and tares and He let them grow together up to this very day. But there is a cataclysmic darkness approaching and forgiven but not free will no longer cut it. In prder for us to endure to the end, He has promised to awaken His bride, to show them how to light their lamps, so that as the darkness becomes as black as night, we will begin to shine with His presence as Jesus begins to shine through us.

Like Paul, we will be able to say "I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ liveth in me." But here is the deal. He will not simply zap us as we continue to live for self, content to sin just a little when the mood strikes. We must want it more than our next breath. We must draw near to Him, crying out for deliverance, just as Paul did in Romans 7.

This does not come naturally, especially when those around us seem content with the status quo. That is why God is sending the shakings we are beginning to see, to shake us awake to the great need we have for Him to do the keeping, for Him to deliver us from the hand of the enemy of our soul.

It is not natural for a man to hate himself, but that is exactly what Jesus said we must do. We must arrive at the point that we bemoan the fact that we do NOT love God with ALL of our heart. We do NOT love our neighbor as ourself. We DO love the world. We do commit willful sin. We must hate..... HATE.... that us. There is simply no other way to be brought to the point we are ready for the next step.

I will continue this tomorrow. Goodnight all. I love you, but God loves you far more and wants to see you shine in a way you have not thought possible.

I don't know where you think you've been for the last two month's but we don't ban people for posting this sort of thing. There is undeniably an urgent call to repentance. For what what reason? I had hoped it be to heal the broken rather than to prepare the remnant for persecution.

Maybe he has something in mind he already knows isn't orthodox?

I don't know.

Something I've always remembered from Dr. Laura Schlessinger was when she said, When someone tells you who they are, believe them.

If someone says they expect to be banned, I wonder but that they are planning something they know will risk it?

Of, maybe just being overly dramatic?

Pack the emotional content?

Much love!

Unless he is about to say Paul is a false apostle, or the Old Testament isn't God's word. Where you can find escort services, that he is the real messiah. Advocating for the occult, or literally cursing members. I doubt there is anything else he could say that would result in an immediate ban. Though I have been surprised lately, by how much people have changed.

There is a war on folks, against powers and principalities seeking to expand their influence. It is important to focus on the Lord, and that means we may delete topics that are unedifying and getting out of hand.

My time here is coming to a close.

Sorry to hear that, the Church in general is lacking visionaries such as yourself. God Bless you in your Future endeavors.

For those who are wondering....
As someone who has witnessed the persecution that Gideon as faced on several forums now, I am appreciative of the stand he takes. I Do not always agree with Him, but he has let his light shine brightly and there are voices that wish to silence His.
Wherever the Truth is Spoken, there will always be the Jannes and Jambres that oppose the Truth, the Hymeneus and Philetus. Satan always fights from two towers...

Ok, so we have established it is God's will that we stop sinning. But before we can see the HOW of holiness, it is imperative that we understand what sin is and what it is not. If we do not have an understanding of what it means not to sin, confusion here will make it impossible for us to move forward.

First, walking without sinning is NOT sinless perfectionism. Let's make sure we understand that right from the beginning. Once this term is tossed around by those not understanding my intent here, confusion reigns, and doubt follows close behind. Walking in a state free from sin simply means that when the Holy Spirit whispers in our hearts to not do something, we obey. It is not something we work up to, getting closer and closer to obeying, but never totally arriving. You see, walking in a place where we do not yield to sin is not a place we attain. It is a moment by moment walk.

If we have confessed our sins, we are told, He is faithful and just to forgive us AND to cleanse us of all unrighteousness. Amen? Sinless perfection is something we mist DO, like going through school from kindergarten to college and we see graduation as arriving at the state where we do not sin.... ever. And since we have never seen a perfect person, well, we are led to assume no one can be kept from sinning. And thus, we give up and so with it is our hope of growing up into Him in all things.

And since in our minds we believe we can never arrive there, we think we must just sort of try our best, but that is what I call 'outside-in holiness'. Let me explain. The Pharisees were masters of this technique. They thought you attacked one sin, mastered it and then dug deeper to the next one, like layers on an onion. Of course you could never get to the center, lol. But since you looked pretty good with your visible sins not apparent, others would look at you as models to follow. The problem is, those who could make 'a fair show in the flesh' had a subsurface sin that grew bigger..... religious pride.

And it was this exact reason Jesus told the religious leaders that they were whitewashed tombs. Oh, they looked holy on the outside, for all to admire, but inside? Dead mens bones.

Yet, is this not exactly the trap the modern church has fallen into? Is it any wonder why we think holiness is unattainable? Why we are disheartened? Why the joy. of the Lord has withered away and we just go to church, doing our best and waiting for Heaven?

If we can never get to the core of our evilness living in ourheart, the pursuit of holiness becomes like a carrot-on-a-stick approach, and after a while, it is human nature to just throw up our hands and say "Heck with it! If God wants me holy, He will have to do it and I am just going to relax." And it is this disheartened state we as His body find ourselves, for this is how we have been led to believe our walk is supposed to look. Let me male this clear. It is not. Instead it leads to a state of contentedness without holiness, far from the holiness with contentment to which God has called us.

No, God uses the 'inside-out approach', and oh, I pray you get this. He tells us that NOW we are clean through the word He has spoken to us. He makes our core, deep inside us, perfectly holy and clean. But he does not want us to stay that way. He wants that seed, smaller than a mustard seed, to grow up into a giant oak, that can offer shade to others. He wants that purity to grow ever outward to the surface, and what does it look like when that happens? Fruit! Spiritual fruit.... love.... joy... peace and al the rest.

Ok, a bit off track but it is important we understand how our victory over sin must occur.... inside out, right? Got it? Good! ☺️

So, exactly what is sin? Under the Old Covenant, it was breaking the commandments. The only problem was, if you break just one you are guilty of breaking all of them. Tough covenant!! LOL. No wonder we needed a new covenant! The Old Covenant was based entirely on the outside-in approach through our strenuous but totally insufficient efforts.

But not so with the new covenant. It is radically different. God tells us He has made us new creatures. He has declared us to be light in the Lord. And this is key. He asks us to believe that. So, we stop looking at our lack, at our behavior that is far from Christlike, we stop looking at evil thoughts, we stop looking at our lack of fruits, our impatience, our anger, our lust, and instead we look to Jesus, and the perfect purity of the core inside us. the seed..... who is Christ Himself.

So what is sin under the new covenant? Whatsoever is not of faith is sin. Whoa. Yes, all unrighteousness is sin, but are we not NOW the righteousness of God in Christ? Indeed we are! Glory! You see, if we fail to understand what sin is and what it is not, we will never have a clean conscience. We can never come before God with true hearts in full assurance of faith. And if this is how we see ourselves, judging from how we appear outwardly, we can never grow.

I hear believers all the time say 'I am just a sinner saved by grace.' But.... is that true? No. We WERE sinners. We got saved by grace. And now what are we? We are new creatures! Regardless of how we may see ourselves outwardly, we stand on the truth that inside, at our core, we are not sinners at all. We are pure, we are clean, we are white as snow. How can we say this? Because this is what God has declared concerning us.

Are there things God has to eliminate in our walks? Absolutely! Is fruit lacking? Of course! But nevertheless, who are we at our core? We are holy children, perfect in His eyes.

So, let's get practical. How does one actually stop sinning in real life? First, let's talk about actions.

1) Willful sin- This is sin that you know is sin, yet there is no battle, no resistance. one does it willfully, trusting God will forgive you anyway. But this is dangerous ground, for it is here that the heart gets hardened, for repentance never follows, and thus the sin remains. And sin not cleansed begins to choke out faith. For example, how can a man have an affair, have no guilt, refuse to listen to Holy Spirit who WILL chasten him if he is a child of God, and yet ever truly believe he is pure on the inside? It is just a matter of time before that faith dies. So, if you are doing things you know you are not to so.... stop.

2) Sins that are a battle- Here we find the example of Paul in Romans 7. You truly want to get free from the sin, but your flesh has the upper hand and you fall more often than not. The Holy Spirit convicts you when you fall, repentance follows, but inevitably, you find that you fail again.

My heart goes put to those who find themselves here, for this was my walk for almost four decades battling lust and porn. I hated it, but found I had no strength to fight it. Oh, I may have resisted for three weeks once in a blue noon, lol, but the pendulum would finally swing back to lust, and Ixwould fall again.

Sound familiar? This is where the vast majority of Christians find themselves. And because we are laboring under the outside in mentality, we are left defeated and disheartened. We will be counseled that there is no condemnation, but it simply never gets to our core, and so we always feel condemned, no matter what.

This is not rest, it is misery. We are forced to try to feel accepted, but inside, our own hearts condemn us, and so we remain in the wilderness, far from the rest that remains for the people of God.

So what does one do it they find themselves here? Do not give in to assuming this is God's best! It is not. The battle is not pleasant, I know, but fight. Battle. If you slip, get up, repent, and seek God again for victory.

Rhe shame of where we have arrived as rhe church is that we have been taught that Romans 7. is the best we can do in this life. What?? God promises us victory over the world, the flesh and the devil! Jesus told us in John 8 that if we continued in His Word, He would make us FREE INDEED! And then He defined that state. Free from committing sin!!

Do not let yourself give up as you fight the sins that so easily beset you. Adopt the mindset of Paul, who cried out to his God to set him free just as He promised. This is so important. It is not your harder efforts that will bring you victory, trust me. But what will occur as you continue to battle is that you are brought closer and closer to giving up all hope in your efforts to deliver you and finally see that your only hope is faith that HE will keep you from falling.... and He will.

Romans 7 is our wilderness we must all pass through. But we have made it our permanent abode, convinced by the devil that anything more is a pipe dream. Romans 8 is our birthright, and for many of you, God is about to open your eyes to what your birthright is, and when that happens, dear friend, trust me, your life will never be the same.

Ok, we have discussed two aspects of sin. There is a third one rhat mist be talked about and it is perhaps the stronghold of satan's grip over the body of Christ.... our thought life. And by God's grace, I will talk about that next.

To be continued.....

Well, as David pointed out, he and I (and he is a good brother in the Lord) have participated in several forums together, and because what I have shared, I was 'sent packing'. LOL.

It comes with the territory I think when one shares truths that can change the entire relationship others have with Christ. Satan has no problem with the Christian religion. But when free indeed is presented as not only possible, but promised, he gets a tad nervous.

Thank you for your response and encouragement.

Next, our thought lives and sin. When I received my miraculous visitation almost 15 years ago now, I think the very first post I made was exposing what I consider satan's most powerful and effective weapon against believers. And because we have often been mis-instructed concerning this, it has in effect crippled the growth that so many deeply desire but ever truly experience.

And what is that weapon? Our thought life. It is one thing to battle a sin, and even to overcome it. And praise God for those who have experienced victory in one area of their life or another. But it is a completely different beast altogether when we talk about our thoughts. Here it seems there is a never-ending fountain of evil thoughts.... lust, anger, worldliness, jealousy, impatience, covetousness, pride. Know what I am talking about? If you do not, you are not breathing. I am so sorry to hear of your passing away, lol.

So how in the world is it possible to walk without sinning when your mind is not something you can control? Let me speak of something of which I have a lot of experience. However, what I share can be applicable to any and all evil thoughts.

Do you remember what I said earlier about my problem with lust and porn? I do not like to discuss it as it shames me, but it is imperative we understand something. The evil thought is a temptation, not from within you but from without! It is as if satan is a fisherman, a master at that, infusing your mibd with one bad thought after another. Oh, we may not act on them, but nevertheless, if we do not identify the source of the thought, we can never walk in freedom. We will always remain feeling like we are not measuring up. We will always remain feeling like we really are just sinners saved by grace.

This is where the rubber meets the road in our spiritual battle. Win the fight here, and our entire world changes. But first we must get one thing straight.

Temptation is NOT sin.

Did you get that? Why do evil thoughts come our way? Simple. We still have fleshly bodies. BUT.... and this is huge... we do not have fleshly spirits! Remember what we learned earlier? What is the state of who we are at our core? Pure holiness. Totally clean. So it is here we come to the depth of satan's tactic. He plants a seed of a bad thought. It could be lust. It could even be condemnation for thinking the lustful thought. But whatever it is, make sure you get this. It is NOT your thought. It is his.

A bad thought is not sin..... not yet. Acting on it is the sin. Let's go back to lust. Is lust sin? No, not according to the word of God. We are told the it is when lust has conceived, it bringeth forth sin. Having a lustful thought is not sin. Some of you men may want to repeat that out loud, lol.

I am sure some reading this will ry out, almost to praise sin's power over us, that Jesus said that lusting after a woman is the same as committing adultery. The natural conclusion to this is that, especially with us living in a sex-drenched society, victory is impossible until we enter Heaven's gate. But listen carefully, for that is not what Jesus said at all. Here are His exact words...

"Ye have heard that it was said by them of old, ‘Thou shalt not commit adultery.’

But I say unto you, that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Matthew 5:27-28

Did you catch the difference? Jesus said if your intent is to look at a woman to lust after her, then it is sin. If I sit down at a computer with the intent to pull up porn, the sin has already been committed!

But what of the man walking down the street and his eyes catch sight of a shapely women dressed in a revealing way. And immediately the temptation comes to look harder, to undress her with his eyes? But he remembers.... temptation is NOT sin. And he instead thanks God for the beauty of women, thanks God that it is not his thought and drives on. Has he sinned? Not in the least!

Satan has done a good to bringing mountains of condemnation on children of God through this tactic, but the curtain is being drawn back on the evil wizard's techniques, and once a Christian understands this, it changes everything.

Does not the Bible tell us that we can take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ? This is how!

It is critical that if we are to walk in the rest of God, ceasing from our own efforts to be 'good' and believing instead that in the core of who we are, we are pure, we are brand new creatures, we must understand, sinlessness is not perfection, sinlessness is not something we achieve, sinlessness does not mean we are not tempted, and and bad thoughts are not sin.

There is one more area I want to cover concerning sin. Knee-jerk reactions to situations we find ourselves in are not sin. That is next....

Ok, so you are driving home from church with your family and a teen-ager pulls up on your tail, feet away from your bumper, and stays there. He guns his engine, flashes his lights and then flips you off. He then speeds around you on the two lane road, narrowly missing an oncoming car, almost causing a wreck. You lose your cool. You shout something at him as your kids plug their ears, lol. Have you sinned? Not yet!

You see, reactions such as this are human reactions. Patience, being a fruit of the Spirit, takes time to grow from a dormant bud at your core into manifested patience at times like this. We all have our own story affected by genetics, by upbringing, that make us uniquely US. We are still in fleshly bodies, remember? And fleshly bodies have fleshly responses. But is this scriptural? Absolutely!

Paul tells us "Be ye angry and sin not. Let not the sun go down on your anger." Based upon how much you have grown in Christ, how much that core seed has grown inside you, it is to that extent your what I call knee-jerk reactions will manifest themselves. They are natural. But with them comes a temptation to follow that reaction up with more action, right?

The driver startled and scared by the wild driver gets angry. Normal reaction. But then the thought comes, "That little twerp. I will show him not to mess with me." It is then we have a choice. The Holy Spirit inside us immediately tells us to let it go. Our flesh tells us otherwise, and begs to differ. LOL. But we know we are pure inside, for Jesus has made us new... brand new. So, acting on that fact, we listen to the still small voice inside us, and tge peace of God returns as the adrenaline dissipates from our system. Have we sinned? Not in the least. Glory!

In order for us to have confidence in God, our hearts cannot condemn us. God convicts. Satan condemns. Is it possible then, after what we have learned about sin, that a man can go all day without violating his 'God-conscience', the Holy Spirit inside him? Of course! And if one full day, why not two? I pray you see what is being presented here.... a moment by moment walk where we actually do not fall. That, brothers and sisters, is our birthright. That is what Christ died to give us. Thank you Jesus!

Next? Who keeps who?

blessings.

Next? Who keeps who?

blessings.

Yes it is possible to live i sinless perfection! If one truly dies to self and every day and moment dies to self- they will walk in perfect voctory.

But the reality is- I don't know of anyone who has attained that at some point till the end of their life!

But Gideon I am sorry, Jesus did not die to cause us to live perfectly sinless lives on this earth (though possible) He died to redeem us from our sin.

Now He is in the process of making us holy and nothing, not even ourselves will deter Him from accomplishing that!

As it says in Hebrews; "He has made perfect forever, those who are being saanctified! We newed to keep pour eyes o HIm! Anytime we remove our eyes- we sin! but we must always rejoice that though we m ay fall short- we hjave Jesus for all eternity so we can get back up and keep walking- For He will never leave us or forsake us!

I pray I do not offend if I do not answer commenters directly, as it easily gets off task. Hopefully, in the things I share here, many of His children will learn what has hindered them in growing up into Him in all things.

So..... we have seen that walking in victory over the world, the flesh and the devil is God's will for us, that we become sanctified body, soul and spirit.

But what actually starts the process? How does someone who has battled sins both real and in their thoughts find the ground to stand on and resist the devil's many attacks? Now we are truly gettng the core of the message God asked me to deliver to any hungry enough to listen.

Some believe His sole purpose in dying on the cross was to forgive us, but I disagree. It was to redeem us from the hand the enemy and then to so fill us with Himself that others hungry for light would come to Him through us. He wants to fellowship with us, right here, right now, and a saint might be forgiven but if his conscience offends him, if sin still grabs him, he simply cannot abide in the vine, and deep fellowship with God becomes fleeting and intermittent.

And in order to take the next step it is imperative a man believes that our sanctification is God's will.... and His deep wish..... that men cease from sin because sin cannot enter His presence and He longs to fellowship with us.

The secret to overcoming sin is found at its root in Romans 6. Here Paul tells us two truths that we must know.

1) When Christ died, we died with Him. The old natured us is dead. Like for real.

2) When Christ rose from the dead, so did we. We are not waiting be made new creatures. We ARE new creatures. Like NOW. That is that pure seed within us that I spoke of earlier. We may still be housed in fleshly bodies, but our natures? Pure as the driven snow. We are no longer fallen beings. We are.... ready for it? ....... BORN AGAIN! Born from above!

Now you would think that knowing these two things would give us the power to overcome sin. But I can tell you from practical experience, it does not. Knowing something with your head is not enough. Oh, it must start there, but it has to get deeper... into our hearts.

In my own awakening, after decades of Romans 7 failures, ready to give up, God heard my cries, cries of a wretched man who KNEW it. And when He miraculously appeared to me, He asked me a question.

"In all of your tryings to please me, did you ever do what I told you to do through my servant Paul?"

I did not have time to think of an answer. He simply opened my eyes to see. It immediately followed those two amazing truths shared above, found in Romans 6, verses 10-14. .

"For in that He died, He died unto sin once; but in that He liveth, He liveth unto God.

Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin, but yield yourselves unto God as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

For sin shall not have dominion over you, for ye are not under the law, but under grace."

Romans 6:10-14

This is the Holy Grail of being delivered from the wilderness of sin so that we can enter the land of rest. I knew the two truth backwards and forward. But never had I done what God commanded me to do. There were instructions attached, and I had been blinded to them!

So what is the key? We must appropriate our new position! How? By faith!! If we are ever to escape our wanderings in the wilderness of unbelief, is it not plain to see we must.... well... believe?? LOL. Not work. Believe!

I will leave it there for now. But I pray these words are making sense. And I make you this promise. If you love the Lord, if you desire to walk pleasing to Him, the way He has prepared for you is both sure and simple, no matter how sin and self has stood in your way in the past. Guaranteed! Glory!

blessings,

Gideon

I appreciate your lengthy epistle here.

but here is where we must diverge. His purpose was not to forgive us- but to pay the penalty our sin earned us! It is the Father who forgave us through the blood of Jesus.

Because we are forgiven and through faith in His death and resurrection we are made new creatures and are walking in Romans 12:1-2.

It is teh Holy Spirit living and working in us that gives us the victory over the world, the flesh and the devil, to the glory of the Father and son.

If you have been a Christian for a while, you know about the armor of God that we have all been given to fight off the attacks of the devil. This armor is fail-proof and as a matter of fact, Paul tells us concerning our shield of faith that it will quench ALL the fiery arrows of the enemy.

This coincides with other promises where we are told that if we resist the devil, he will flee from us, that God always causes us to triumph in Christ Jesus. As we learned earlier, temptation WILL come if we are His children, but with the assurance given in these truths just mentioned, is it any wonder why Paul tells us to count it all joy when we fall into diverse temptations? But given this, it brings us to a place of great difficulty, for if know these things, yet we are still falling to the allurements of sin when tempted, something is amiss. So let's talk about why we fail at times, even if we are new creatures.

We have already established that we ARE creatures, that is a fact carved in stone. Right? The law of commandments, the old covenant, gave man no power to cease from sin, and only pointed out our need for something better. And praise God, it came in the form of the law of the Spirit of Life. However, if failure and the Romans 7 experience is still where we find ourselves, either God lied, or He over-promised and under-delivered, both of which are impossible, OR we have misunderstood something that activates our protection and deliverance from the devil and his temptations and accusations.

I hear people often say, "Yes, but we are only human. We will always stumble till Heaven arrives." But think for a minute, was God not aware of our frailties when He brought forth the New Covenant? Did He not say He would CAUSE US to obey Him? That we would be made both to WILL(want to) and to DO (perform it) of His good pleasure? No matter how weak we may be, God's armor that He provides us is impenetrable. It is on HIS shoulders we can find rest and obedience, not on ours. So if we are still struggling with sin, that fact should lead us to find the truth we have missed. And what is that?

The armor of God only works when we have it on!

You see, being given armor does not mean we can keep it in our closets, hanging up, and think satan is going to say "Uh-oh, I see he has armor. Let us go attack someone else." We must clothe ourselves with that armor. It never comes off. We must find ourselves hidden safely in that armor, and raise our shield of faith and wield our sword in order to find the victory God has promised us.

One other important thing to know about our spiritual armor. The person inside the armor is safe, unless a traitor is found inside the armor too. I remember years ago with my first adventure in bee keeping. I was protected from head to toe by veils an clothing, and no matter how upset the bees became as I was working the hive, I was totally safe. However, when one bee got inside my head veil, I did not feel so safe anymore, lol.

And this brings us back to the truth of who we are, and who we no longer are. We cannot be both old creature and new creature. It is one or the other. And it is our belief that the old us is truly dead that allows us to grow up into Him in all things. So, even if we put on our armor by faith, thinking we will be safe from satan's attacks, if unbelief lurks within us, if we are not yielding ourselves to God as those who are alive from the dead, we will find satan is an expert at penetrating cracks in our armor, and invariably, we will find ourselves back to the up and down, in and out walk where we fall to temptation again and find ourselves robbed of the joy of overcoming the wicked one.

This fact brings us face to face with the one thing God asks of us. To those who declare Jesus does it all, and asks nothing of us, Let me assure you what He asks of us is not a work. There is not a shred of legalism here. In fact, the safety found to those wearing the armor of God, our new nature, will first be seen by those who have concluded how weak and needy they really are! Remember, it is to them who have NO STRENGTH that He increases might, amen?

But there is indeed something we must DO. And what is it? We must come into agreement with God as to who we are at our core. We must believe that we are no longer fighting the old us. The old us is DEAD. We must agree with God that He has made us new creatures for until we do, there is simply no way to yield ourselves to Him as those who are alive from the dead. Make sense?

And it is this act of coming into agreement with Him that we come face to face with the heart of the message I have been asked to share. And it concerns us reckoning that the things God tells us about us are our possession right this very minute. It is our appropriating our birthright of victory over the world, the flesh and the devil.

When Paul stated those two critical truths about who we are, and who we are not, he then tells us "Therefore reckon yourself dead indeed unto sin and alive unto God." He declares that sin shall no longer rule over us and by reckoning, asks us to declare it OUR possession, right now this very hour. Reckoning by the way is a banking term concerning adding to assets. If I win a million dollars in the lottery, I may not have seen the check deposited in my bank account yet, but because I believe my numbers were the winning ones, I know I am already a millionaire. And that is what God asks us to do with our new nature. We reckon it is so.

This walking in our new nature is not our forgiveness he is speaking of. It is far more than that. It is our liberation from the power of darkness itself. I fully realize how hard it is to do. Trust me. But as the return of Jesus draws closer, He knows full well how much we need to be found in Him without spot or wrinkle. And He will prepare our hearts to be able to believe such a thing is actually true, by bringing us to the place we hate our old carnal nature so much we are not only willing to part with it, we fear remaining in it one minute longer.

A few words of encouragement. God is not asking you to get to the place you refuse to sin any longer. He is instead asking you to see that unless we walk in our new nature, we can never resist sin. He is asking that we cry out to Him for deliverance from the wretched man we WERE, and get a brand new mind, totally renewed. Do you feel your faith is weak, but you long to walk as His child, free from the attacks of the devil? Oh, dear one, God sees your heart. Tell Him "I believe. Help thou my unbelief." God will receive such a prayer and I have no doubt will reward you for stepping out.

We do not come to Him thinking "I can stop sinning. I just need to try harder." If that is where you find yourself, time for another lap around the wilderness, lol. Ah, but when we realize we have no power over our flesh and that sin's grip will ever tighten around us as the days get darker, we finally see our only hope is to believe, and we step out in faith and accept as truth what God has declared concerning us. No, we do not deserve it! No, we cannot cease from falling. But God has already placed that faith within you for this very moment.... faith that He can keep you from falling because you are His and He is yours!

In my own life, on the night of my miraculous visitation, when God revealed to me what I had missed for 38 years of searching, struggling and failing.... that I had never, not once actually reckoned myself dead to the power of sin, and I saw my error, I did not hesitate. I cried out in a loud voice, loud enough for all the angels in heaven and the demons in hell to hear me...

"Lord, I am a new creature in Christ! I reckon that the old me does not need to die. It died when your Son died! I put on the new nature by faith, and trust that you will keep me from falling! I yield myself to you now, this very second, as your child who is alive from the dead, and trust that you not only can, but WILL keep me from falling to temptation, for you have delivered me from the power of darkness. Thank you, Lord. I receive it in the mighty name pf Jesus! Amen"

And with that, what seemed like huge iron doors created open to allow the light of Heaven itself shine upon my tear-covered face, and all guilt, all self condemnation, all fear, melted away like summer snow.

Oh, I pray you get this. In these dark times, and yes, they will get much darker, God is even now awakening His children to this truth, for it is this that changes our course from walking with an earthly mind to a Heavenly one. It will, on a word, revolutionize your walk with the Lord. The joy of your salvation will be restored as you discover you can indeed resist the devil..... every time..... and see him flee from you.

It is because of this truth, that Christ is not with us.... He is IN us... that we finally discover why we can count it all joy when we fall into diverse temptations. Why? Because we are kept from falling by the power of God IN US through faith! Glory!

blessings,

Gids
