Since you guys don't believe in the existence of God, if the big bang created the universe, then what exactly created the big bang?

Nonetheless, some professing Christians accept the claim that God used naturalistic processes, including the big bang, to create the universe. They might agree with atheistic astronomers that the stars and planets formed by slow natural processes over billions of years—with only one exception, that God ’s hand directed these processes.

God did exist before the Big Bang . God has always existed and will always exist. God is outside of space and time, but is able to interact with space and time in the universe. God interacted with the world in the form of Jesus and died for our sins.

I happen to like the BB theory.

The theory was resisted at first by many scientists who understood the implications of switching the standard cosmological model of uniformitarianism, which was that the universe always existed - and which contradicts the bible - to the BB model that says that the universe and the space-time continuum had a sudden beginning at a moment in time - which agrees with the Genesis account.

In fact the name Big Bang was a term of derision for the Primeval Atom theory by the astronomer Fred Hoyle, who was mocking it - and the new name for it stuck.

Better yet: If the Big Bang created the world we know, why haven't the constellations changed one bit in thousands of years?

Even if they're moving along in perfect synchrony with the earth, they would at least be spreading apart. If they were, even minutely, the shapes would've changed drastically long ago.

No Big Bang. NOW what do we do?

Worship the God of the Bible?

Couldn't hurt.

Based on my conversations with atheists over the years, here are their positions. This is also ironic because they’re almost religious with many groups in them. In USA atheism is also defined as a religion by the Supreme Court for tax purposes I think.

1. There’s the Atheist who says “I don’t know” to existential questions such as in this case “What triggered the Big Bang”.
This position doesn’t allow them to say anything else basically.
2. There’s the atheist who like to delve into philosophy and say that “ there’s a multiverse which creates universes on collisions”. This is interesting because they’re describing a God without using the word God.
3. There’s also the atheist who allows for the possibility of a Creator but don’t want to be called ‘Agnostics’ and want to be referred to as Atheists only.

They’re a strange group of people.
