8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. - Ephesians 2:8-9.

When a believer gets saved they receive the fullness of grace. You could say the believer received the whole bucket of grace. The whole bucket of grace is like the coach of a sports team, and when they win they get the whole bucket of ice dumped on their head. Grace is the whole bucket of ice, you received everything God has the moment you believed. Now because of the old way of thinking and doing things, some can feel like they may received just enough to save them and get more to at another time. You may learn more about grace and understand it better but you received the whole bucket when God saved you. Colossians 2:10 says you are completed. When do we suppose that happens, some time later. No it happened the moment you were saved. We don't wait, you do not have to tarry and wait for grace.

Waiting on God now may be for direction or some leading but you do not wait for grace you have already received all that God intended for a believer. I have been in websites for exchristian's. I usually start out by saying there is no such thing as a exchristian. I don't say it to get attention or even start an argument, but I say it because it is true. If you have ever been born again you are a bonified offspring of God, a child of God. You can see from discussions in those forums that they know nothing about grace. They may have been raised in a church with grace in it's name and still know nothing about grace. So if you are saved it is imperative that you know something about grace, after all that is how you were saved.

So how is it that a believing sinner a minute before was on their way to hell and a minute later on their way to heaven? How is it that believer now has all that God has? It's simple; the cross and the finished work of Christ on that cross. He paid the ultimate price. He doesn't save the sinner because they are sincere. The sinner is saved because of the grace of God to a believing sinner. Our text says "by grace you are saved," so whatever the grace of God is: you received all our father has the moment you believed there is no more to receive. You can live by grace but there is no more to be received for salvation. Hallelujah!

@soul man Grace is the principle of all that we have and are in Christ, already, by faith.
