All through Hebrews 4:1-11 KJV, Paul speaks about spiritual rest in God via the Greek word "kataposis". However, the word "rest" in verse 9 is not "kataposis" - it's "Sabbatismos".
"Sabbatismos" doesn't mean "spiritual rest" - it literally means "keeping of Sabbath" which is kept by literal rest.
Why is this important? Because Hebrews 4:9 KJV plainly says this "keeping of Sabbath" remains for Christians. Lamsa's Peshitta correctly renders the text: "It is the duty of the people of God to keep the Sabbath".
Many who profess to be Christians refuse to obey Christ's commandments (John 14:15 KJV) and therefore justify their disobedience by faulty reasoning. One such example is the purposeful blurring of the distinction between "kataposis" and "Sabbatismos" so that the "Sabbatismos" may be spiritualized into "rest in Christ" and not what it actually is: "literal rest on the Sabbath day".
Don't be seduced by such doctrines of devils. The Sabbath "remaineth" as much for Christians to keep as "thou shalt have no other gods before Me".

- Jesus is our reward - does that mean we rob banks?
- Jesus is our faithfulness - does that mean we can commit adultery?
- Jesus is our truth - does that mean we can bear false witness?
- Jesus is our rest - does that mean we can break the Sabbath commandment?
