A Royal greeting!

Lk 1:28 is the only place in the Bible where such a greeting takes place!

God himself is greeting Mary thru the instrument of the angel Gabriel!

This is a Royal greeting of the queen of heaven and earth! Queen of the angels and saints! Mary is of the house of king David!

In the line of king David the mother of the king is the queen, as Jesus Christ is the king of heaven and earth and the angels and saints so Mary is the queen of the same! Lk 1:32-33

Lk 1:28 And the angel entered to her, and said, Hail, full of grace; the Lord is with thee; blessed be thou among women.
29 And when she had heard, she was troubled in his word, and thought what manner salutation this was.
30 And the angel said to her, Dread thou not, Mary, for thou hast found grace with God.

Mary is the divine treasury! All graces are found in Her! Lk 1:28
Mary has found the favor or grace of salvation lost by Adam!

Mary is the mother of God! Lk 1:43
Not the mother of the divine nature but of the second person of the Trinity who is God!

Mary is the mother of the word, the lamb, and of the savior! The mother of our salvation! Lk 2:30 Jn 1:14 Jn 1:29

and our spiritual mother!

The disciples of Jesus are Mary’s spiritual children!

John 19:26-27
When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.

Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Give us a break. Mary is not the queen of heaven; nor is she the mother of God.

GOD (i.e. the Godhead) DOESN’T HAVE A BEGINNING; THEREFORE, GOD DOESN’T HAVE A MOTHER.

you confuse mother with source
I never said she is the mother of divinity
But the mother of the second person of the Trinity who IS God!
And it’s in the Bible Lk 1:43

A simple question?
Is Jesus the king of heaven?

Where does the Bible call Jesus the king of heaven??

BTW, mothers are the “source” of all humans except Adam and Eve.

but obviously God is eternal and uncreated, divinity has no mother, but Jesus does! And He is God! And Lk 1:43

Matthew 25:34
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

We’ve been over this before. Your reasoning, and that of the Catholic Church, is flawed.

Mary is not the mother of Christ’s divinity (as you said), so she is not the mother of God, who is more than the body of Jesus which Mary bore. God—the Godhead—consists of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. To be the mother of God, Mary would have to have birthed the Godhead. No one birthed the Godhead, who was not birthed or created. God is eternally existing and therefore has no beginning and no end.

no one is the mother of a body but a person and this person is God!

Do you deny Lk 1:43?

Mary is the mother of our Lord Jesus, who is one Person of the Godhead. Do you agree that when we talk about God, we generally mean the Godhead—the one true God existing as three distinct Persons? Mary did not give birth to God; therefore, she is not the mother of God.

I think you posted this in the wrong thread. :)

You missed the main part of what I said. Graven images are made by man. Jesus is not an image made by man, right?? We are not to worship anything made by man. We are not to worship God’s creation. As Paul said in Romans 1:25, “For they exchanged the truth of God for falsehood, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.”

yes but Jesus is God and Mary is his mother, what do you do with the scripture Lk 1:43

And the apostolic council
Mother of God

Council Of Ephesus – 431 A.D.

If anyone does not confess that Emmanuel is God in truth, and therefore that the holy virgin is the mother of God (for she bore in a fleshly way the Word of God become flesh) let him be anathema.

Sorry
But why are images not forbidden and even commanded when graven images are forbidden? What makes it graven?

I guess I’m anathema when it comes to what the man-made COUNCIL decided about Mary being the “mother of God.” That’s fine with me because I’m accepted in the beloved, a child of the one true God, born of the Spirit.... What concerns me is what GOD has said.

Now you’re just going in circles.... Maybe someone else can shed some light on this topic for you.

that’s not what the Bible or Jesus say

Lk 10:16
He who hears you hears me...

John 13:20
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

So everyone agrees this is a very special and unique royal greeting of the queen of heaven and earth of the queen of angels and saints and of our blessed mother!

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope! To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears! Turn, then, O most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

V. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God.
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Let us Pray. O God, whose only-begotten Son, by His life, death and resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life, grant, we beseech Thee, that meditating on these mysteries of the most holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain, and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
