22 months of investigation, dozens of witnesses subpoenaed, several given prison terms, 24 hour round-the-clock reporting on the obvious criminality of the President, and after all that bluster Mueller has now just admitted he found no evidence of Trump's collision with Russia...

Not wanting to start a Pro-Trump/Anti-Trump divisive thread. Just curious what everyone supposes was going on. I personally thought there was at least some substance to their case, but maybe what they thought they had fell through.

What do you think happened? Was there ever any real case, but the church prayed for protection over Trump? Or was there likely nothing to it to begin with, and it was just a big fishing expedition from the start?

Whatever it was, unless they have more up their sleeve, I think the Democrats just totally screwed their chances in 2020. Nobody's gonna believe anything they say now.

There is not much to puzzle over. Democrats were even screaming and crying on their knees because Hillary lost. There is little to it beyond that. They want to get even with him for winning, no matter what it takes.

I think it totally backfired, which is what has me wondering. I thought they were going to sandbag until closer to the election to try and throw it in their favor, but this? What in the world was their strategy here. Just cry and whine until they were proven to be making things up? LoL.

A fairly good friend at the church I was attending at the time (Democrat) actually called me on the phone a short while after the election, and told me never to speak to him again. We have hardly exchanged 10 or 15 words in all the months since then, despite having been friends for nearly five years.. (And, he is a practicing psychologist... so he knows what "derangement" is.)

The Historical perhaps, Democrat Party, why we want Big Government Intervention, Why we want the Responsible full participation of a Citizenry, saw the Presbyterians passing sabbath laws for some form of Church attendance gaining ground in some states and passing 1900 elections. So who is Crazy enough to demean that group of people, to go with some other tide, and look, Small Government, Representative Republican Leadership, absolutely No connection to the broadest Church interests , Assuredly. This probably all has to do with Dwight Eisenhower's cover up of Religion in Dixie. Woodrow Wilson was probably elected By the humblest of the Knightliest of the Knightly seeing these burning damsels of New York Industry and knowing Chivalry, and Christian marriage, and money can't buy the Bible for instance.

I was thinking that they might be able to pin something on him after the election myself, but what exactly? I mean, if they are admitting to have nothing on him with this, what do they actually have on him where anything else would be concerned?

Like I said, whatever they were doing, I don't think it worked out too well.

Btw, I saw Trump with the cameras on him at an airport after he was informed there was no evidence of collusion, and I must say he didn't come off like someone who had been falsely accused for 22 months. I was sort of awkward, like he didn't know what to say. The whole thing is awkward. If I were guessing (and it would be purely a guess), it appears almost like some deals might have been made; like maybe they had stuff on him but he had things on them, so they decided to drop it behind the scenes...

Just thinking out loud, but something smells, and when it's Washington that usually mean somebody stepped in a pile of it; maybe several.

Women are Super Special. which begs the question, what is the ridiculous court aspect? If it were the jurisdiction of the Judiciary, what is the legal or constitutional precedent, is there one? I've Never heard about, what was it again, that diplomacy occurs between world leaders...

Personally, as somebody that frequently gets framed, to be in spaces, legally ordered, and legally ordered together, and legally not to be communicating with those people where I'm framed, And, necessarily over- objectifying spaces in which no human being could legally be in interaction with me, where I'm legally observing, sort of some collusion pre-crime triangulated stage set of the grandiose moral ethics suit-tie.

Like Byrd, it takes more energy just to follow your train of thought than I usually have left to try and construct an answer. Don't think I'm being unfriendly if I don't respond. Yeh. I lost an online friend over this political nonsense too. Over 10 years. It is the dissention from this that is a shame.

I definitely think the Democratic party has dug themselves a hole for the 2020 election. I am already for Republican views. But I'd reelect President Trump before voting for someone fighting for abortion rights and no borders. And then to top it off...this investigation costed millions more then a border wall. I wonder if it is still 50/50 regarding President Trump's approval rating.

But yes, I'm realizing the importance of being educated and the importance of voting now. We are not only to pray for our country, but fight for it and what we believe in. If we don't voice it, and voting voices it, then we are laying down and giving up. Socialist America. I applaud President Trump standing up for what he believes in.
