Yesterday on this forum I received a post from a fairly anonymous stranger saying that God had spoke to him and he had a message for me about a particular vow that I had apparently broke.
So as the day wore on the more concerned I got and so I prayed several times. "Lord what is this vow that I have broken"
I pray earnestly for an answer, the whole time the words "Test the spirits" kept running through my head, but I wasnt paying alot of attention, because I had begun to convince myself that I had broken some vow and needed to find out what it was.
Finally last night I prayed again, but this time in frustration because I could swear I hadnt made any vows at all, I wanted to know what was going on.
No sooner had I finished the prayer I looked at my Laptop screen and saw an old thread suddenly in use by the same guy that had sent me the message,
so clicking on it I began to read his thread.
It soon dawned on me that something wasnt quite right with this guy, actually even a little familiar, like I had delt with this guy before.
The words "Test the spirits" came to me again,
So not remembering what scripture it could have been I typed those words in to google and I got 1 John 4:1
"Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world."
I knew straight away that I had been given the answer all along.
So I confronted the guy and exposed what he had done and what God told me (now that I write this the irony makes me giggle)
he squirmed and tried desperately to cover his tracks, finally I rebuked him in Jesus name.
well he didnt like that, and lo and behold he was gone with in moments.
I praised the Lord after that.
I did some digging around because he sounded familiar from quite a while back, and found his past name "wordsponge" whose account had been disabled.
I tried to warn him.
He should be worried that while he was trying to deceive me, God himself was speaking to me against him.
I pray he thinks hard and repents
Here is the thread where it all took place, you will find the confrontation in the last 5 or 6 posts

This is not the first time God has used his word to speak to me and I know it wont be the last time.
Thank you Jesus!!!
