I have been counceled and I have counceled through the years. What I have come to understand is for a person to get along with another person it takes the release of Christ. You can do all the steps science says to do and you will more than likely have more trouble in the long run than when you started. Now I defend councel because it helps a individual come to some terms with the situation. Anything that does that (ministry of helps) you cannot say does not work or help. But that is exactly what it is, it is a helper until. Everything can be a helper until. You will need to fill in the "until" because each individual comes to it on their own. If you only rely on helps you never come to the conclusion of the matter.
Just about everything in the world can be a ministry of helps, such as; governments and any thing you can think of in the world and the religious world has in place as helpers. It is people helping people, we cannot live without people helping each other and everybody needs help at one time or another. Now it looks like a jumbled up mess most of the time but that does not negate the fact they are helpers put in place by our father. We cannot live without each other and that fact can pull people together to work not separate but pulling together.
A quick word on relationship; you are not going to like everyone you meet or maybe someone you haven't met but know through a media of some kind. But you cannot not say I hate them because Christ in you will always be love for creation. For you to separate in hatred is not Christ it is you living your frivolous thoughtless life.
So with that in mind know you don't have to like everyone just keep yourself in expression of what you know. If that requires distance than so be it but be mindful of Christ in you and others. So where does this message start? It starts in the home. Husbands, wives, and children first. How can I live outside of the home if I do not live it in my home. This is where the rubber meets the road because husbands and wives know each other maybe better than your parent knew you.
For me to release Christ to my husband/wife and my children should be the ultimate goal of every born again Christian. First you have to know how to live (by Christ) and then that life can be lived spontaneous. Will you perfect the knowledge of Christ in you, probably not but you will at least have a fighting chance. All the councel in the world cannot do that for you, you have to do that. I have seen those that had rather pay someone to listen to how bad their situation is than actually do something about it. When the roll reversal is in place for good solid help in a situation a person will have to act or at least seek that help, if not nothing changes accept for their relationship from one to another and on and on it goes.
