My ears itch all the time and has nothing to do with wanting to hear anything. Sorry, couldn't resist being facetious. I know that the scripture reference to "itching ears" has to do with people wanting preachers to say things that please them. Don't preach on sin, hell, condemnation, but just preach that God loves everyone. That's true, but you can't preach the love of God without also preaching the wrath of God.

So true. People forget that where ever love is there is also mercy and justice. God's mercy for those who are willing to accept they have done wrong and need help and God's justice for those that don't want to admit they have done wrong. As parents we wouldn't let our children get away with bad deeds or thoughts. We would discipline them so they learnt right from wrong. People always think God is different that His love has no justice in it therefore everyone is going to heaven.
