God's power and creativity were shown during the creation. When He said, "Let there be light" (Genesis 1:3), He created light to separate from the darkness, and established a spiritual metaphor for His goodness and power and grace. He first created light by a DIFFERENT means- since the sun didn't shine forth until another "Day".

When God spoke the words “Let there be light” in Genesis 1:3, it was the voice of Jesus that was heard by the new Creation. Well Genesis 1:3, there is no MENTION ANYWHERE that it was the voice of Jesus that was heard by the new Creation. It was just a source of Light God used from a undisclosed source.
