Philippians 3:12-13,
12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
When you apprehend what you have been apprehended for God is working on everything you were created to be. It's there, everything has already been apprehended for you, now you must apprehend it. What is meant in that kind of a statement? your knowledge must change, or yet better said! you gain the knowledge of what is apprehended for you. It is like a man with a million dollars in the bank and never accesses that account and lives like a pauper.
If people spent as much time working on their understanding of Christianity as they do in front of a computer or learning the newest technology they would apprehend what they have been apprehended for. When we see him the scripture says; we shall see him and understand what we did not take hold of what was there for our understanding for life now in this world not the world to come.
We wait for somebody to come along and tell us how it all works, we look to others, we read the latest books we stay dialed in to the latest intellect when yet it is all in you for the apprehending as Paul would say. People wonder why they are not happy, they cannot put it together in themself and no one can put it together for them. It must be an individual thing God chose you.
It does not matter how marvelous your doctrine is, if Christ is not your all in all; its void, nell, bunk, waste of time, whatever name you want to give it. God chose you to be in Christ, you have Christ in you, you have the Holy Spirit as your teacher, you have a father that literally birthed you. All working in you to bring you to understanding these things are already apprehended in Christ and now you must apprehend them, there is no other way.
If you spend your precious time trying to figure out what country the anti-christ is coming out of, or is the lastest dictator possibly him, you have missed it, Christianity has slipped by you. You should be reading the enquire magazine not your bible. Point is; you don't have time to suffer the folly of the world, don't get caught up in! Is the world flat or round, that is foolishness don't do it. Leave that to the world they will straighten it out, an old Oklahoma saying is "we have bigger fish to fry."
