God destroyed every living soul except for 8 during the Flood. He didn't "withdraw" He caused it.

Ge 6:7 And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

It's not a point worth debating anymore to me. Receive it or not, but be sure to read the book of revelation about the judgements he pours out.
I said that God DID CAUSE some disasters.
I also mentioned Sodom.

This does not mean God causes ALL disasters.
Revelation is in the future.
We're discussion the pst and now.

No sir.
I do not accept that God causes disasters.
This is what Calvinists believe.
They believe God causes EVERYTHING.

Not saying you're reformed -

And what makes you think I haven't read Revelation?
I've always said that I haven't STUDIED it...big difference.

I believe this is an important idea to understand, but OK if you don't wish to discuss.

Did Jesus ever say God causes calamity?
No.

I'll leave you with these two scriptures, and for those reading along.

James 1:13
13 Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am being tempted by God "; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone.

Romans 8:28
28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

God does not CAUSE evil or He would be evil.
God takes evil and works it for good.
God ALLOWS evil but is not the author of it.

Another thing to consider is Job. God allowed Satan to test Job and Job endured calamities

[Job 1:12 KJV] "And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath [is] in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD."
[Job 1:15 KJV] "And the Sabeans fell [upon them], and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee."
[Job 1:16 KJV] "While he [was] yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee."
[Job 1:17 KJV] "While he [was] yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee."
[Job 1:19 KJV] "And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee."
You used the magic word:
ALLOWED.

A differentiation must be made between ALLOWING
and
CAUSING.
