Our Messiah, commands us that when we pray, we must pray to “our Father in heaven” (Matthew 6:9). Paul even wants us to lift our “prayers TO God” (Romans 15:30). Christians can directly come before God’s throne of grace (Hebrews 4:6), and Christ is the one who will intercede for us (Hebrews 7:25). With these passages, it is clear that we don’t need any dead saint to make an intercessory prayer for us!

Praying to Mary and other dead saints is not biblical and praying to anyone other than God is idolatry. To bow down to a statue or painting and pray to it is evil and it is forbidden in Scripture

Pray for the Saints to give you guidance some what can be a help. They are not dead, there Souls are in Heaven.
You can ask others to help pray for you regardless.
Praying is a work of the Holy Spirit, not a whim.

Post a verse from the New Testament, that shows where any Apostle ever prayed to Mary, or to a Saint, or to an Angel, or told you to do it.

Post a verse from the New Testament that states that anyone who has gone to heaven, other then Jesus, can hear your prayer.

There are no souls in Heaven, not yet!

Did you not pay attention to the teachings of Jesus Christ? No Soul will be admitted into Heaven, or Hell, until after He returns. Until then, every soul that believed in Him, and finished its time on this earth, is sleeping in the earth, in their graves, waiting for Jesus Christ to return, and judge them according to the works they did while they still had breath in them.

So, when you send your prayers, to humans who are sleeping, waiting for the verdict on their lives on earth, are you sure your prayers ever make it to God? Are you certain that you are not being manipulated by the one who is your enemy?

Was Paul wrong?
Paul says that 'to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord' (2 Cor. 5:8).
It's that simple: If you're a Christian and you aren't in your body then you are with Jesus in heaven.

Really? I can't speak to your interpretation of Paul's statement there, but I can say this, Jesus Christ is the Law(of grace) and what the Law says, is what is.
By the way, not all "Christians" are bound for Heaven... according to Jesus Christ, a majority are bound for the other side.

Jesus Christ is the Truth of God, the Way into the Kingdom of Heaven, and the Eternal life we have by believing in Him. Since He is the Key to the Kingdom of Heaven, His report of what is!

The people you are referring too are are not Christians.
No born again believer will be going to hell.
There are two classes of Christians...

1. those who believe and are b0rn again-they accept and obey the teachings of Jesus Christ.
2. those who believe but refuse to obey the teachings of Jesus Christ.

All Christians are rewarded with the gift of Eternal life once they are saved from the condemnation of sin which is Death(they are not saved from sin itself) when they choose to believe in who Jesus Christ says He is(the one from above/God's New Covenant/Saviour etc.). However, Salvation does not come with a guarantee that the gift received will be spent in the Kingdom of Heaven. That is why it is then expedient that those who believe become born again afterward.
Those who believe in Jesus Christ, and choose to continue on, accept all of His teachings and obey His commandments- they abide in Jesus Christ- Jesus Christ declared that He also will abide in. To these, His very Spirit will live inside of and lead the rest of the way. These are the ones who are promised the Kingdom of Heaven.

But sadly, not every Christian who believes in Jesus Christ will also make the choice to accept(trust) and obey His teachings/commandments. And so, many will refuse Him, continuing instead to live in disobedience(sin), eventually dying in their sins. For these Hell has also been prepared.
