how come my questions here are not answered? This time, I am wondering how to erase a quoted post in my response window

1. I decide to respond to a post
2. I quote the post and it appears in my response window.
3. I decide to quote some other post instead
4. The former post remains - can't erase it unless I backspace for an hour
5. Help

You can triple click on your post to select all, that way you can delete it all at once. Or right click "select all."

Highlight what you want to delete and hit the back button.

If you leave the page before the site software has a chance to scrub your post, it will reappear. It takes about a minute for the software to remove your post from it's files.

In the reply window where the "More Options" icon is located, a message will appear saying your message is saved. After you delete your material, wait for this message to appear. It should say your stuff was deleted.

I too had that problem a little while back, it was so annoying, I just couldn't get the darn thing to go away, had to have a person tell me over the phone bit by bit, then I finally got it. The others here have answered you, so I won't try......Just so you know you're not alone in this
