Atonement in the N.T. the word Atonement in the authorized version of the bible is an O.T. term.

It appears only once in the N.T. Romans Five:11 where it is translated as reconciliation in the revised version.

Romans 5:11

11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

Why Does ‘Atonement’ Disappear in the New Testament?

Atonement is reconciliation, by the death of Christ God has reconciled His chosen people to Himself Rom 5:10, and repentance is what God gives to them that has been reconciled.
