Being banned from a so called Christian Forum doesn't bother me so much. Although I would like to tell those who do these things how misled they are. Jesus himself reminds us that the Lost and Sinners of the world are those who need his teaching more than the Found. To be Banned from these Forums who claim to be Christian doesn't help the lost at all. I myself have been Banned from several only because of what I believe the Bible really says. I ask this question would Jesus not allow me to give my opinion. Many Atheist are Banned from these forums. Would Jesus turn away from them. I think not but would do as he does which is to save. You will never get one of these lost soles to believe by sending them away. I compare these so called Christians who run these forums to those who killed Jesus. He didn't match up for them, he didn't teach there belief, his teachings were truth, and they couldn't have Him spreading it all around, so they killed Him. I'm thankful that so far here on this Forum I am able to speak my belief. It may not be one you agree with but we can freely discuss and maybe change one anothers mind.

Sometimes people just need to be banned.

@Job, this is not the only Christian Forum on the internet, nor is this the only way to speak to the LOST. count it all joy when banned, for the Lord will open a door else where. and no, "Sometimes people just need to be banned". no, take no offense, and no defense is needed. one will always have distractions, and evil among us is here unto the end. but the love of God overcome any and everything. for one plant, another water, but it is God who give the increase. but understand, don't comprise the word of God or friendship, to just get along. now there is a meaning in the verse I'm about to give you, and hope you gleam it out. 1 Corinthians 9:22 "To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some".

one last scripture, 2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new".

There are rules of how to conduct one's self on this site along with other Christian sites I have encountered. Violate the rules badly enough and the member gets banned. It is usually that simple. There can be a few exceptions. But that is the general rule of things. A couple of members just might join with the sole purpose being to cause trouble for genuine Christians and seekers: cultists and others who are in opposition to the teachings of Jesus, who warned us to be on guard for wolves in sheep's clothing. So why were you banned? Maybe you thought the rules were meant for everybody but you? Just asking. :)

It doesn't appear that you have ever been banned from here, unless you keep a second account which is not allowed.

Most people here ban themselves, by violating the rules and incurring 3 warning points. These warnings typically expire and the software unbans them. Then more often than not they continue to break the rules and get more warnings.

I too have been on many sites.
I have also been an admin on my brothers forum...plus a moderator on a different forum.
We have only ever banned people who break the rules.

The thing to remember @buddyt is that many sites cost the owners money each month! That gives them rights to run their site how they wish.
Plus there is always a statements of the Faith of any forum that leaders / owners have posted.
Bottom line, if you don’t wish or intend to comply with the statement of faith..or don’t intend to comply with the rules , of what is allowed or not allowed in responding to posts..then just DON’T join the site! Simple.

And by the way...the name itself “ Christian Site’s” shows that that is what it is...for Christians.
The agenda of many Sites is actually NOT to ‘win the lost!’
There are different Sites for that outreach.
A Christian Site is often just that...for Christians to fellowship , and learn from one another, encourages one another or disagree with one another. “ Iron sharpeneth iron...”

Of all the sites I have been on , this one is the best ever. I applaud the leaders.
It allows much more freedom in arguments, it allowsmuch more freedom in divers beliefs ...it allows an area for “ other faiths” ..it is always quick to help Seekers and answer questions. And the Moderation is very light, not heavy or tight as on some forums.

Just saying. Don’t even join a Site if you don’t intend to comply with the rules, then you won’t get banned.

I've been banned from some myself despite I am not really emotional about things, but rather state things matter-of-factly that some apparently don't like to hear blunt force. I have some unconventional beliefs about "hell", the nature of God, the soul of man, holidays and feast days etc which I believe the bible to teach but was too cultic like to these straight lacers I guess. I suppose I was not "Worthy" enough on that Christian forum or did not have walk the way of the cross properly. LOL

I love esoteric subjects such as the gospel in the stars, Pyramidology, and lost ten tribes of Israel which to me, are rather important, actually, for the puzzle pieces that shed light on the bible. The original owner of the board had tolerance for such topics and many of us here believed that. As time went on I left this for awhile when the posters (not owner) were getting abusive to each other and clearly did not want hear each other's views. I lately came back under another (this) name. The old name was removed.

It's quite simple- those sites aren't run by Christians.
Even if you posted something against their rules, they could have easily deleted your post an warn you.

Amen..good post. I too have almost left this site , twice, because of the rudeness of some of the posters, (to each other not even to me)
I see that kind of responding as immature and showing how insecure they really are, because the rude and angry people just have a deep need to be shown and seen as "top dog".
They just don't realize that that kind of posting just shows them up for what they really are. :D

There is meaning in every verse.

    Here's a verse for you.

    1 Corinthians 5
11 But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—not even to eat with such a person.

I ignore many things in these forums. One thing I will not ignore is blatant sexual perversion. If this site was strictly adults, I would probably ignore that too, but it's not. There are children here. There are people who come here searching for answers, looking for a way to escape the addictions that plague them. We may not see them, but I guarantee you they're here. Right now as I post this there are 51 unregistered people roaming around this site.

    MEMBERS ONLINE NOW
    Total: 105 (members: 11, guests: 51, robots: 43)

Your walk is not my walk. Your priorities are not my priorities. We may be on the same straight and narrow, but the life experiences we've had on this journey are not the same.

There is wisdom in the verses you posted, but they cannot always be adhered to. Especially on a internet website. We have no control over what an individual posts. We can't take them to the side, away from others and quietly converse with that individual. When an individual is repeatedly disruptive, even after they have been asked to stop, they need to be dealt with. Closing threads and deleting posts is one way of handling those situations, but if the behavior persists, I say ban them from the site.

The ways of the world has no place in these christian forums.

That's my opinion and I will not budge.

Rudeness and especially having to be 'top dog" starts to become signs of unhealthy narcissism. Both of which are violations of the rules that govern this site. But then, rudeness is open to interpretation. There are forms of rudeness that is exaled
Rudeness and being " top dog come off as sounding like unhealthy narcissism to .e. But rudeness towards others o n the site is a violation of the rules that govern the site. But what is rudeness? I have seen Christians exhalt certain kinds of rudeness. Even though "love is not rude". So what is considered rude by North American standards anyway. I.looked at the number of members on this site and was convinced that rudeness would be found......a given. So what is rudeness, especially as the 'rude members' can create a conversation of up to fi e members and converse uninterrupted and be as " rude' as they want without bothering us puritans. Sure. I've noticed it too. I mome tarily wondered if this is where God wanted me momentarily, But a few grains of sand don't define a beach. So I am here. In part, because where there is something good there will be opposing evil ready to show itself. But isn't that why the rules governing this site were written?

I have been on many forums over the years- I have found that it is me that has changed with regards to how I react to posters, and much depends on the size of the forum. There are some posters I would rather like to ignore, and here I can - it's big enough to not feel drowned out by those who are not really here to learn / listen but to proclaim and shout the same message they have been shouting for years. They do not get under my skin in the same way they have in the past.
If a forum is small then ' difficult ' people can over take and control the entire board, and this can deeply affect those who are there to have fellowship with other Christians. On the other hand some sites can have moderators who go overboard at the moment there is an issue brewing between posters- sometimes you have to allow people to sort things out, or agree to disagree.
I do like the warning system in place, and the fact that the software eventually lifts that ban. I do not post that often yet, but I do read posts.
I like this site too xxx
I am not so sure I would label Christian sites that ban people ' Pharisees ' though- although I may have just been fortunate with the sites I have been a part of over the years, maybe there are some like that !!!! Lol
Christians react and respond in different ways, sometimes good, sometimes bad- pretty much as they do within other social media outlets, and in public and private settings. God can use all types of behaviour - look how he used the Pharisees and religious leaders. Xx

    Ha.

Actually, i asked to be banned from this site for a time. I was going through a difficult time in my life and needed the break.

Since then, i have found peace of mind and can enjoy the community here, once more.

I am glad to be back. Thanks for the nice words, ByGrace and Butterfly
