Believing into the New Creation.
This Believing into the New Creation is the simplicity of the Gospel...This is what it comes down to, Believing into the New Creation or having faith in Christ Jesus. Both being the same thing...For our salvation, is God giving and doing something for mankind that mankind can not do for themselves..This is God’s gift to mankind..With one question attached to it... And that is. Do you want to be saved?
All the struggles and failures on the part of the Christian is the believer being showed what it is they are being saved from..Which is themselves.. If I had no inner nature that loved it’s own will I would have no sin or disobedience of any kind..
Consider for a minute why you never have to teach a child to misbehave, but always to behave..Why does this inner nature towards misbehavior come naturally? It is this that Christ came to set us free from, this inward nature that demands it’s own will and it’s own way... And just because one has turned from five to fifty doesn’t mean this inner nature has changed, they have just learned to cover or control this inner nature to a degree..But when pushed it can, will and does raise it’s ugly head.
This is that that in scripture is called the mind of the flesh which scripture says cannot and will not subject itself to the law of God...This is what being joined to Christ’s death by faith does. It puts to death this inner nature towards disobedience...This is God’s free gift of salvation to all those that are willing to believe.. This believing or having faith in Christ Jesus is open to all at all time regardless of how dark things are or how far they have fallen..This simple turning of the faith of the heart to God is that that grabs onto God..And the heart that grabs onto God, God accepts and grabs back..Now the believer is asked to keep trusting God’s love for him... To keep wanting to be saved from themselves, to not turn back to their own wills....But totally turn from their own will and give it over to death in God’s hands...This is the reckoning ourselves dead to sin and alive unto God that scripture speaks of..
This is that that scripture says, is our reasonable service before God, to present ourselves before Him, as a living sacrifice, as those that are alive from the dead....Which is the working out of our salvation in Christ...
Be blessed all as we work out our salvation with fear and trembling till these truths are brought to birth in us..
Than all life is met with a;
~What is that to a deadman, I follow Christ, as a living sacrifice~
