There is this thing in man that when they get saved; the excitement of coming out of sin is so powerful we can completely ignore what really has happened to a new born believing sinner. There are certain things in life that seem to get old and forgotten but the day you were born again, the day you were saved usually never gets lost in your thinking. It is something that is a once in a lifetime event (for lack of a better word) and it never leaves you, it is that momentous. You may have answered an Altar call, or driving down the road but that never leaves you.

Point being; it can be so momentous of an event that what happened at that moment may never be explored, or looked into as we should. What the Father did at that moment when you first believed on Jesus as your Savior and those burdens rolled away. The world lifted from your shoulders and that great action of God our Father placed a part of Himself (Christ) in you and I.

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. - John 1:12-13.

But as you grow it has to be looked at what He did because what he has done is "that great event." He not only saved you but that salvation' was the person of His Dear Son being birthed in you and made you, yes made you what you are.

30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: - 1 Corinthians 1:30.

That most powerful event of the ages - after the death, burial, and resurrection - ascension, occurred and the believer needs to know what happened at that moment. Christianity lives and moves and has it's being in that momentous event, why pray-tell do we even look at a lesser event in time or future.

Prophet's of old did not know about this kind of action going to take place. They knew and prophesied of the coming Messiah and a Savior and all He would do. Even describing the horrible death. But none knew God Himself was going to birth His Own children by placing His Only begotten Son in the believing sinner and they would be called the children of God because they were born from above - children. Jerusalem is above. No man knew what was in God - that is why it is called a mystery on one hand - but on the other hand it says that the mystery has been revealed! Glory to God.

Every believer needs a revelation of Jesus Christ.

25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, - Romans 16:25.
