Exo 23:25 And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
And ye shall serve the LORD your God.
I hear this.. This is the first commandment.
To Love God with all your heart and mind and soul.
and he shall bless thy bread.
In the new testament the bread is the Word of God.
It is the manna which God sent from heaven.
It is what we must walk by,
and thy water.
The water is the Holy Spirit.
The Living water.
It is what we must walk in.
and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
The sickness in the midst of thee, can be seen as both a personal or congregation sickness.
I see this sickness as sin in me. sickness in the church. (body)
So to read it as I hear it from a spiritual point of view:
Ye shall keep the first commandment,
and by doing so my word and my spririt will cleanse you from all sin.
As a congregation point of view,
By doing the first, the second commandment of Love thy neighbour as thyself is also fulfilled.
Each one watching over the other.
Each one walking by and in the commandments of the Lord.
Will keep the "body" church, clean, unified.
Walking in the commandments of the Lord will keep us well fed/versed and well dispositioned/cleansed,
and healthy/holy.
