    Today's devotional reading in NSRV included Psalm 144:1
    Blessed be the LORD, my rock,
    who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle;

    But when one copies and pastes it, one finds a deliberate altering of God's word via technological manipulation.
    Blessed be the Lord, my rock,
    who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle;

    I found this in many passages and translations. When I brought it to BibleGateway's attention, thinking it was some kind of error, I got no response. The question is, why would they want LORD (all capital) to be copied Lord (in lowercase)? Doctrine drives deception over integrity of God's word is all I can surmise.

    Sad differently, IF God's word supported a particular doctrine that one preferred, it would not have to be altered. Thoughts?

    The LORD says to my lord,
    “Sit at my right hand
    until I make your enemies your footstool.”
    Psalm 110:1

    If you want to get all biblical and technical, whenever it’s written by translators as LORD, it says YHWH in Hebrew, so it should say Yahweh instead of LORD, in the first place.

    Which reminds me of Genesis 19, where after Abraham meets YHWH in the flesh in Genesis 18:1 when He appears to him as 1 of three men, and negotiates with Him to spare Sodom, but negotiation failed and God destroys it in chapter 19, the passage says that the YHWH on earth (whom Abraham met and talked with), rained fire and brimstone down on Sodom FROM the YHWH in heaven.

    Gen 19:24 Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;

    ASV correctly translates YHWH as. Jehovah whenever YHWH appears in the Bible:

    Gen 19:24 Then Jehovah rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from Jehovah out of heaven;

    Here we have prima facie evidence of the plurality of God: Jehovah on earth, and Jehovah in heaven, simultaneously - with no sectarian biased interpretation - the text itself makes it too clear to obfuscate, but certain groups will yet deny that which is self evident.

    Try it.

    Go to Biblegateway. Copy and paste either of the verses in the OP. You'll see. It cannot be an accident but deliberate programming.

    While I understand that, this website specializes in various translations. When a translation, like CJB, uses Yeshua, one would not expect that word, when copied and pasted to become Jesus - even when we know that is the translation.

    Capitalization errors do not happen that I've noticed from any other word in Biblegateway other than LORD to Lord. Odd, huh?

    Bible gateway is a terrible site for searching scripture. I've copied and pasted verses word for word, verifying the use of the same translation, and gotten 0 results from their searches. I find Microsoft's Bing search far more effective when I'm unsure of the wording of a verse and typically find what I'm looking for when searching with a paraphrase.
    I usually end up on bible hub with my Bing searches and Bible Hub actually gives the verse in multiple translations so that you can compare them on the spot without selecting a different bible as on Bible gateway.
    I've always found Bible gateway a bit uncooperative when searching for verses about the judgement and day of the Lord's wrath. It might just be a particularly poor search algorithm, but I suspect intentional filtering out of keywords.

    Just so.

    Another place with the same,

    John 3:13 KJV
    And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

    Much love!

    I started a thread about Bible Gateway conspiracy, where the word “LORD” in various translations paste as “Lord.”

    Disturbing to change the word of God.
