Canada discusses joining US Golden Dome missile defence programme

PM Mark Carney's office says there are "active discussions" on the Golden Dome, but it's too early to say how Canada would join or pay in.

Trump said the proposed Golden Dome is meant to target increasingly sophisticated aerial weapons, including hypersonic missiles, and will include space-based sensors and interceptors.

He said the system would be "capable even of intercepting missiles launched from the other side of the world, or launched from space".

It is partly inspired by Israel's Iron Dome, which the country has used to intercept rockets and missiles since 2011.

Golden Dome will heavily rely on AI to think for itself. This 'Skynet' like system is the future of the military.
It will yield decisions on what to do using intelligent machines, which can act quickly'.
China and Russia are developing hypersonic missiles, the time to intercept them is very short.

The future for the military is also headed towards robotics. I imagine future armies perhaps in out lifetime will have armed machines that can think, make independent decisions on military defense.

Google says super intelligence, supreme intelligence, will be here in 6 years for AI.

StarWars or Terminator without the scifi or a little of both.

Well, keep in mind that at best only roughly half of Canada agrees with Mark Carney, and that's only IF there weren't dodgy things going on with the recent election, otherwise it is way more than half who disagree with him, and detest what he stands for, and cringe. Please try not to involve the whole country, just say Carney says thus and such and wants to do thus and such, not Canada. Lord, have mercy.

Carney is Canada government, him and them are the ones who will make the decisions, not Canadian people.
I think it is a good idea.
Trump did not come up with Golden Dome on his own, the US military wanted this. It has already made China angry.

It will have to be so in fact.
Maybe it will truly become the 51st State as well regardless. The world is getting smaller one could say in regards the Modern age will change. it has to change !

I do not think that the UK will be anything in Europe as all of the Nations of Europe are set or will become as one Government !

And all of America South and North will become one Government ?

China will take over all of Asia and Australia regardless.

Russia will become part of China ?

It's been set in place to be so from 1971.

Their are wheels within wheels going on. nothing to do with Trump at all, it's all been in play from 1971.
