Jesus said to her, "Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?"

    Her answer: "No man, LORD."

Her answer was not so much a declaratory statement as is was an interrogatory statement. She knew she was guilty and deserved what the law had demanded as punishment for her crime. But, what she was actually saying was, "No man is left to condemn me, but You are the Lord God Almighty...Are YOU going to stone me?"

"Neither do I condemn thee. Go and sin no more."

What a wonderful revelation of the love and mercy of Jesus. He is not trying to see how many of us He can keep out of heaven, He's trying to see how many of us He can get IN there.

Praise to our "wonderful, merciful Savior, precious Redeemer and Friend; Who would have thought that a Lamb could rescue the souls of men?"
    Praise to Him indeed!

And do you think He would stone you???? If all men forgave all men there would be no sin and all would be saved, that was His whole point, it is us who keep men from enetering in by unforgiveness and when we dont forgive we condemn oureselves.

And please note, she did nothing to save herself.

And that was a breath of fresh air from you. Thanks

Your are wrong again MJRH....Jesus said to her "Go and sin no more", in other words REPENT from her sins...that is a requirement for us all..REPENTANCE, go and sin no more...what is sin? 1st John 3.4 "sin is transgression of God's law.
From your previous posts you don't agree with that, so carry on with your version of "christianity"

If you find the air of obedience stale and intolerable down here, what makes you think it will be any fresher in heaven where EVERYONE will be practicing perfect obedience? You are expecting God to "flip a switch" and change you from a "sin lover" down here into a "law lover" up there - it doesn't happen like that. If you don't learn to say "not my will but Thy will" down here, you are never going to say it up there, friend.

And you have turned from yours and you sin no more, well as I said when you stop sinning come an tell the rest of teh world about it, than you really will have something to boast about..

    You should read this

Luk 18:10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
Luk 18:11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
Luk 18:12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
Luk 18:13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
Luk 18:14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

MJR You cannot stick to the topic can you...you are indeed well equipped by satan to be "devils advocate"...now do you have anything to say which is relevant to the topic of the post? Look up the word repentance, you obviously do not know the meaning. Oh I forgot you think you know everything there is to know..lol....

What is it about your sin that you love it so much, MJRH?
    • Is it sexual immorality? Sheep-killing wolves in Alaska are dispatched by the shepherd repeatedly dipping a sharp knife in blood and allowing it to freeze until this "blood popsicle" is set out for the wolf to lick and the numbness of his tongue does not reveal that he has licked it to shreds and he ends up bleeding to death. Yes, that is the subtle nature of pornography which leaves destruction and death in its path.
    • Is it booze? Alcohol is implicated in untold numbers of tragedies including auto fatalities, broken homes, destroyed lives. etc.
    • Is it drugs? Abuse of them causes irrepairable damage to the frontal lobe, the place wear the Holy Spirit communicates with us.
    • Is it gambling? Untold damage to the home and self by this evil takes place.
    • Is it food? Lest we forget that the very first sin from which all others have come forth had to do with God's commandment regarding appetite.
So, what is it about your admitted problem with sin that you find so irresistible that you refuse to go to Jesus to obtain power to fight and overcome it?
    • That burning, excitement in the brain as you indulge it? (Romans 1:27 KJV)
    • The thrill of doing it over and over without suffering any consequences ? (Ecclesiastes 8:11 KJV)
    • Your pathetic, undeveloped character that lives even to this day as a slave to sin? (Romans 6:14-17 KJV)
You are a sorry excuse for a Christian - not because you sin, for all have sinned - but because you refuse to allow the Holy Spirit to deliver you from the bondage of sin, expecting the blood of Jesus to cover your filthy, vile habits that you love so much more than the Savior Who died for you, friend. Repent now, for the Kingdom of God is nigh.

Oh man you do love talking about sin so much, it must realy be getting to you. What do you think Jesus died for, here you go demanding we stop sinning when you youself do it Sorry cant ride your guilt trip with you. You are on your own, not even Jesus can take that trip with you since you woudl rather teh law than His grace.

Rom_7:11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.

and it will keep doing it till you find freedom in Christ, that is freedom from condmenation. Call me when you stop sinning please. I guess you must deliberatly do it to since you insist we all do.

MRJH, there is no gun to your head making you sin. You do it because you WANT to. You WANT to because the Satanic pleasure it brings you is too much to resist...not even the bruised, bleeding body of Jesus is enough to make you stop.

The devil is the master of all those who live in sin, and the most deceived person on the planet believes as you do - that freedom and grace is found in deliberate, known sinning, while condemnation is for those who strive to love Jesus and keep His commandments.

"Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin." John 8:34 KJV

And so who is holding the gun to yours??? You remind me of that life of Brian movie, where teh man keeps saying Jehovah, and teh pharisses get a huge rock and dump it on him, And that is how you are a leaglist with this rock called teh "law" sitiing over you head and everytime you sin it falls on you and condemns you, yet to want teh rest of teh world to be condmened along with you. Sorry you are on your own, that fight is between you and teh law .

Are you asking me who is holding a gun to my head and forcing me to strive to obey God?

No one. I allow the Holy Spirit to put in my heart both the desire and the power to strive for obedience. Without Him I would be a helpless, deceived sinner like you who professes to love God but rejects His merciful attemptS to grant you both the desire and the power to strive for the same.

No man ever delights in nor finds insatiable pleasure in doing that which they hate, right? Therefore, you sin, not because you hate doing it, but because you love doing it. You love it more than Jesus, else you would do what Jesus has commanded you to do, friend. REPENT NOW WHILE THERE IS STILL TIME.

No one but you has said they ever did, it is you who is saying ' look at me God I am not like all these other sinners", when you are just teh same as all teh rest of us. And no you are not being obediet to God but the law, teh law is inflexible, it is rigid unchanging, you sin you die, It is your choice not His, what is it you think Jesus died for, to put you under teh law?? that makes grace obsolete redundant and all His works a waste of time.

Rom_2:23 Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

    And you are doing what???

You know what obedience is Pm, its " not my will but your will be done", it is letting your whole life be removed so you can have Him, its watching all that you love being taken away from you, so that you can have Him, its crying in the lonliness just so you can have Him, it is letting your past go so that you can just have Him, it is gving up even yourself and your plans , so that you can have him, its walking alone while all the others are surrounded with friends and loved ones, so that you can just have Him, teh price is high, but worth it.

Luk_14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
Luk_14:27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
Luk_14:33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

    Are you willing.

the only way we can ever get to the place where we would rather die than sin is to get as close to Jesus as we can. That's why so many who think they are going to heaven will end up in hell - because they never got over their love of sin. If you hate sin so much, then why do you keep on sinning?

Yes, the word "obedience" contains within it the root word "OBEY", right? So obedience is the act of OBEYING the Lord. You are a fulfillment of prophecy. Prophecy predicted that some would come and turn light into darkness and darkness into light, bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter, etc. That is exactly what you do: you claim "obedience to God" is disobeying His clear commandments and "sinning against God" is striving to follow His commandments.

What happened PM, when will you reaslise your works are as filty rags, as for getting close to Him all one need to do is call His name and He is there, again you can have Him now, you always speak of the future Chirst is with us if we would but call upon Him. As for heaven, Ive being there as for Jesus I have met Him, all these thing you can have if you would but give him a chance, but you have placed your sins as great a burden as any man that get mad at those who refuse to be condemned. It is your choice. Obedience has cost me my life what has it cost you.??

MJH, of course your works and my works are "filthy rags". What you need are JESUS' WORKS which He performs when He comes into your heart. Therefore, the absence of His works of obedience to the Ten Commandments are evidence that Jesus is absent from the heart of them who demonstrate only rebellion. So, why do you attempt to make light darkness and darkness light by your claim that obedience has nothing to do with salvation, when it is the VERY EVIDENCE that one is being saved? And why do anti-nomialist liberals always seem to occupy the positions of authority in these chat rooms?

Wouldnt know what that means not that smart and glad im not.

Glad you got that bit the rest I have no idea, you dont invite jesus into your herat that is absolute rubbish.

    Could say lot but

There are two pilots in a plane one is teh copilot. the only time they ever have the controls at teh same time is when they changeover, teh one who is taking control takes teh controls and says " I have control", than teh one relinquishing the controls says " you have control" and he lets go, All you have to do is decide who is flying your plane, you or Jesus.

2Ch_7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
