Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. - Galatians 3:16.
Changing who you are is not what your father is doing. He created you perfect and gave you a special touch. Change (better expression of who I am) comes in the form of learning who I am and growing in that knowledge. Who am I? you are created in the image and likeness of God. So your image and likeness is a perfect expression of Christ that is in you. Born in sin by the nature birthed in Adam the moment he believed the lie, and disobeyed God. We are born again by the devine nature of God which is in Christ (the seed of God). The Adamic nature is crucified in Christ, and believers have one nature - with the ability to be double minded.
Now take a note: both nature's came by a birth. How do we know that? The word of God! We have seed or seeds, Genesis 3:15, and know that nature produces after it's own kind. Nature -spirit - life, is in the seed. On and on the scripture goes to show where nature comes from. Nature comes from a father!
Soul (unique you) is the organ for expression - spirit is our completed oneness in Christ - born again in spirit.
So expression is Christianity. We express Christ as life. He flows out through the soul (your soul) as your only life (spirit), "he that is joined to the Lord is one spirit." Now look at how people can live some kind of lifestyle that is not what Christianity is. They can have Christ in them and still live like the devil.
How is that? no mind renewal - we want to lump everyone together and say if they were saved, if they were a really good christian they would not do that. That is not true! people live like the devil all the time and they have Christ in them. Christ in you is not a magic wand - you have available to you right now..the mind of Christ. Without the mind of Christ people live all kind of ways that seem strange. But in view of what it is they are doing or not doing.. you understand people are capable of any life they want - even with Christ in them - so that is why we need to learn Christ! Christ will express himself out of you the only way possible and that is through soul - your uniqueness. That is why we are all different. If you look at the world like that, it is amazing to see all the different ways of life that can come to live Christianity!
That is the opposite of religion says, they say 'we are who we are based on a certain lifestyle.' I go to church.. I read my bible.. I give to the preacher..I have been baptized a christian..and I will dress the part. Religion has bought the lie that 'if you were a good christian you would not sin, and would do good.' Being good is always at forefront of the lie. They judge based on their philosophy - they believe their own lie. Have you ever sat in a religious meeting and just didn't feel comfortable something about it just didn't seem right - that's what it is philosophy. A doctrine based on what men think!
