Christian/Family Friendly Alternatives

I hope this isn't against the rules.

I have a confession: I can get really distracted by websites like Reddit, YouTube, Pinterest, etc, and I know it's not good for me.

It is way too easy for me to watch one Christian show on YouTube and get bored, click one short on the side- and three hours later find myself watching things being smashed in hydraulic press and not know how I ended up there in the first place.

And then we say "oh where did the time go?" I'll tell you, it went in a hydraulic press.

So I need alternatives.

I'm kinda feeling the need to back off from traditional surfing. I thought it might be nice to share some alternatives and maybe someone has ideas I don't know about.

Here are some ideas I have and have tried and use.

Lots of golden nuggets! My brain isn't totally awake yet. If these were converted into MOBI format and given as free eBooks, I think it would spread really quickly. Everyone is an on the go learner now.

I don't know if this is yours but, if so, Gutenberg would be worth looking into if you want more people to see it.

The information comes from Bob Utley, a retired Professor of Hermeneutics. You can download the program, which includes all the content, as Bible software. @DuckieLady

Dr. Utley has provided his Bible study material in several media formats.

Most of the videos were done when Dr. Utley has been pastor or interim pastor.

The audio lessons are longer and more detailed. Most of them were done at Trinity Baptist Church in Lubbock, Texas between 1976-1985.

The written commentaries were mostly done while Dr. Utley was Professor of Hermeneutics at East Texas Baptist University between 1987-2003. He finished the whole Bible in 2019. They represent his latest theological thoughts.

I think I disabled the signatures years ago because some were too spontaneous. I'll figure out what I did and turn them on.

I also like the Blue Letter Bible as it also has the Bible, Concordance, some audio and text commentaries and such all in the same place. My wife mentioned Pureflix , UP Faith and Family, and Angel Studios for streaming shows and such.

You can't have done that more than 4 years ago. In your Account Profile settings under Preferences you can select whether to show Signatures.
