Secular Humanism in the Christian churches is not Christians coming short of our calling to glory and virtue of God, but is the practice of progressive secular humanism taught by grace.

Becoming sons of God with power to live righteously and blamelessly in this life, is abandoned as unattainable perfectionism, and replaced instead with a neighborly progressiveness of believing sinners, that now only seek to do more good than evil while on earth.

Atheist secular humanism, being classic liberalism of old, is the belief that man can become better and better by their own goodness, without any God.

The results are the same: they are all neighborly sinners seeking to do more good than evil, but without any desire nor hope of becoming righteous and holy altogether, which they both declare is impossible.

The only difference between the atheist and christian secular humanists, of course, is one claims there is no God nor need of God's grace to become progressively more good, and the other names the name of Christ with need of grace to become progressively more good.

And both speak the same way: they both say they are by no means perfect, nor always good on the outside, but their hearts are still good on the inside, one without God, and the other with grace.

And they are both correct with the same results: The atheists do not have God, but a goodness of their own, and the christians do not have the grace of God, but a grace of their own, and so they are both gracious.

And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.

The grace of God is only with the righteous in Christ Jesus, who need Jesus' help daily not to be doing evil at all.

The grace of Jesus is not for a race of better and better secular humanism.

And none of the secular humanists claim to be in any godly race at all, While the atheists say there is no such racing with faith, the christians say they have already won it by grace.

There is another form of christian progressive secular humanism with the holiness pentecostal movement, a progressive holiness humanism of their own making, and so is also secular in nature.

They do not seek to be more neighborly and better sinners, which they rightly reject as the worldly compromise of doing both good and evil, but rather they seek to do the law of Christ better and better outwardly to be justified by, while falling from grace inwardly.

They don't take away from doing the law of Christ by grace, as do the christian sinners, but rather add more and more carnal ordinances to keep, in order to remain justified by Christ, which is secular humanism by the law. The one has their own grace only, without the law of the Christ, and the other has their own law only, without the grace of Jesus.

In the end, the one speaks only of grace and shuns righteousness without sinning, while the other preaches only their own righteousness, while forgetting grace.

And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

By rejecting the law of Christ to be justified by Christ, the glory and virtue of Jesus is not added to faith, and by adding rules of men to the law of Christ, to remain justified by Christ, the grace and charity of Jesus is lost.

Both rightly shun one another, because the grace-only sinning christians are offended at always preaching righteousness without sin, and the holiness-only graceless christians are disgusted by always preaching grace with sin.

They are both correct to reject company with one another, because one has dived off the deep ditch of the left, and the other has raised themselves too highly on the right.

Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Neither the unrighteous nor the self-righteous shall inherit the kingdom of God.

The race of Jesus Christ is neither for being better and better at doing both good and evil, without the His law, nor is it at being better and better at doing holiness rules added to His law.
