I reject evolution. But I do not reject facts that do not agree many traditional creation views, as in everything created in six days.
As in this chart which is representing known fact, that being man did not coexist with dinosaurs.
It also shows that you cannot explain extinctions over time as all occurring in a single worldwide flood.
There is no biblical conflict with God creating everything, the six days of reforming the earth in history since.
The problem exists exists in the rejection that creation began on day one of the six days. There is no way you can fit reality into that model.

But if you believe the first verse as part of the first day that is impossible. It could not be inhabited because it was underwater.

Here says Satan has already been cast out of heaven.
It says he already laid the nations describe the nations. Not is destroying or will, but already had us.
This is Isaiah back to before Adam.

This has zero impact on the history of man.
It has zero impact and God's plan for humanity.
It has zero impact on salvation.
It does not mean a prior race of humans.
It does not mean other humans existing that co-mingle with Adam's children.
