This system starts as an array designed to protect earth from incoming asteroids. But once in place it could have military applications and be used as a weapon.
Revelation 13:13 describes the use of a weapon which is described as “fire come down from heaven.” Couldn't Revelation 13: 13 be describing a device similar to DE-STAR?
DE-STAR may also be the instrument used in the downing of starry host described in Daniel 8:10
