Matt 23:4-5
4 For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.
5 But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad and enlarge the borders of their garments.

The burdens were the endless regulations of Pharisaic tradition. These were not part of the Law of Moses rather, they were the product of centuries of Rabbinic interpretation of the Law such as the washing of hands, the prescribed limitations of travel on the Sabbath, regulations regarding healing on the Sabbath, and hundreds of other such nonsensical traditions that the Jewish leaders imposed upon the people as law.

Everyone lives in a body that sins. It is the burden of those sins that Jesus took away when He atoned for them by sheding His blood on the cross.

But there are many who do not believe His blood atoned for their sins of the flesh. They will stand before Jesus and will be condemned because they did not place their faith in His work on the cross.
