If you ever get the chance. Visit Horseshoe Canyon in Red Dear Alberta. That is a site where thousands of fossils are located. Universities send teams of students on digs. They found a new dinosaur there, the Albertasaurus up there. Looks like a miniature version of the Tyrannosaur. There is a museum there. We went in and my Rep and I were discussing dinosaurs. I was joking with her and explained the reason of Albertasaurus being due to the guy finding the fossil was named Albert ..... The Director was following us and was laughing ...I stopped Judy and told her "Judy, we are in Alberta, that's the reason for the name ...I still like the idea that guy's name was Albert ....Maybe he played a trumpet when not digging." The Director asked if we would like to go with him to see a recent dig. It was great because the college kids were very informative and literally had us elbow deep in dirt ....They were working on a big dinosaur at the time and had not identified him at the time. It is in the middle of nothing. You round a bend and there is the canyon ...

Sound really fun. I visited the San Diego Dinosaur Museum when I lived there and it was pretty interesting, but nothing like what you experienced:

It was fun because I know enough to be dangerous. At the same time I am curious and like to joke with the pros. I kept telling the kids at the digs, "I went to school with kids like you and did everything you do at a game or on campus ....Enjoy it while you can, appreciate it. When it turns to work, career and a family .....you'll look back and remember what you miss the most."
