Matt 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

Christ is speaking as God!

it says “I” 1st person singular God!
Of course it's in the 1st person. That is what Christ did/does when his Father speaks to his mind, through his Son. His Son speaks his words. Is this a surprise or new to you?

Why is this in the unorthodox forum?

God breathed life into Adam, gen 2:7 and we received this life from our fathers!

Christ breathed on the apostles our spiritual fathers, we receive the new covenant life of God’s grace from them thru faith & baptism! Jn 20:21-23 Mk 16:16 acts 8:36-38

it is God who gives life!

That is exactly right. Jesus of Nazareth was and is GOD MANIFEST IN THE FLESH.
God who became Man in order to die for our sins. Anyone who denies this is treading on thin ice.

Christ is speaking as his anointed one, from his Father's Spirit, the one true God

From His Father's Spirit??? or should you mean from the Father who is One with the Son and SPIRIT.

No one has ever yet seen God. The only begotten God, the One being in the bosom of the Father, He has made Him known. John 1:18

What then if you should see the Son of Man ascend where He was before? John 6:62

According to John 1:1-3; the Word is God.

Well; God is an eternal being, i.e. He always was, He always is, and He
always shall be. In other words: there was never a moment of time in the
distant past when the Word didn't exist, nor is there ever a moment of time
in the present when the Word doesn't exist, nor will there ever be a moment
of time in the distant future when the Word won't exist, viz: there has never
been, nor will there ever be, a pause in the Word's existence.

So; when the Word came into the world as a human being per John 1:14,
his existence as the Word didn't stop. He continued to exist as the Word
because God cannot stop His existence as God.

In John 1:1-3, the Word is a spirit being who exists, in all points, as God.

In John 1:14, the Word is a physical being who exists, in all points, as Man.

The Jehovah's Witnesses insist it is impossible for someone to exist as a
spirit being and a physical being simultaneously. Now, I don't know that it's
possible for someone to exist as two physical beings simultaneously, or as
two spirit beings simultaneously, but I entertain not the slightest hint of
sensible doubt that Jesus Christ exists as a spirit being and a physical being
simultaneously because not only do John 1:1-3 and John 1:14 verify it; but
so does 1Cor 15:45

Christ never says 'thus saith the Lord' -- unlike a prophet.

Christ says 'verily, verily I say unto you'

do you know what that word 'verily' or 'truly' is?
it's a Hebrew word that Greek-speaking Jews kept using. it is "amen"

Christ says, all the time, 'Amen Amen I say'

So that he who blesses himself in the earth
Shall bless himself in the God of truth;
And he who swears in the earth
Shall swear by the God of truth

(Isaiah 65:16)

God calls Himself 'the only Saviour' and 'the King of Israel' -- which Christ is called.
Christ is God.
God calls Himself 'the God of truth'
do you know what that word 'truth' is?
amen. verily.
do you know the word 'of' is not present in the Hebrew of Isaiah 65:16?
that's an addition by people who did not understand what they were reading, so they figured they'd add words to it?
here in Isaiah 65:16 God literally calls Himself, 'THE GOD AMEN'
it is His name. AMEN.

Jesus constantly calls Himself 'THE GOD AMEN' -- He says 'AMEN AMEN I say'
He does so speaking as God, giving commands and forgiving sins and creating, with absolute implicit authority.

Christ declares Himslef to be 100% equivalent with God.
God with whom no one is equivalent.
over and over and over.
it is exactly what they crucified Him for; it is what people today still crucify Him for,
and would put us to death for declaring it, if they could

"I AM THE AMEN" says the Lord! ((John 14:6))
Christ is God.
if you deny Him, He will also deny you.

You have a strange set of beliefs and then I do not know what you are preaching here, truly. It is confusing.

Where do you get your understanding of John 1:1-3 and 1:14 from? It is not from the Greek or Aramaic words and expressions or idioms? You have just made it up.

There is one God, the Creator—He who is above every Principality, and Power, and Dominion, and Virtue: He is Father, He is God, He the Founder, He the Maker, He the Creator, who made those things by Himself, that is, through His Word and His Wisdom

His Word, who is His Son, through Him He is revealed and manifested to all to whom He is revealed; for those only know Him to whom the Son has revealed Him. But the Son, eternally co-existing with the Father, from of old, yea, from the beginning, always reveals the Father to Angels, Archangels, Powers, Virtues, and all to whom He wills that God should be revealed.

I have also largely demonstrated that the Word, namely the Son, was always with the Father; and that Wisdom also, which is the Spirit, was present with Him before all creation

- Irenaeus, exceprts from 'Against Heresies'
