There have been well over 300 earhquakes in the Salton sea this week (on the San Andreas fault) over a 1000 in all Calif. Many all along the San Andreas the following warning was issued to the School District in S. CaifSent: Thursday, March 26, 2009 1:27 PM To: Principals; Cabinet; District_Office Subject: Earthquake Information The California Emergency Management Agency has issued an advisory regarding a sequence of small earthquakes near the San Andreas Fault. Agency officials believe there is a one to five percent chance of an earthquake on the fault sometime in the next few days. This information provides an opportunity to check our earthquake preparedness. Principals are asked to review the “duck, cover and hold” preparations and guidelines for earthquakes and to consider other needs should a serious one actually take place. Thank you."If you live in SoCal, time to get water (beer, since it's the weekend?) and batteries and such, just on the 1:100 or 5:100 chance they've got this pegged right.

I felt my first earthquake the other day! Man that was cool! First I thought my wife had pulled up in the drive way, there was a sound just like a running car. Then, I heard this loud Pow! like someone slamed all the doors in my house at once. I noticed that everything shook just for a split second, one way then stopped. It felt like someone ran into my house with a Semi. Turns out it was I think a 3. something.I live outside of Oklahoma city, there's a fault about 5 or 10 miles away. This is the third or 4th earthquake that could be felt in 3 weeks.
