In the New Testament there's never a description of a legitimate connection with God involving yelling, laughing, dancing, rolling around any of the wild behavior.
God raised the Israelites as a people who were very different from their pagan neighbors. Their neighbors engaged in all sorts of the behavior that is seen above. The demon-possessed witch doctors, in places that have never seen much of an impact from the gospel, do much the same yet today. The OT prophets like Isaiah said, "Come, let us reason together." Reason was always intended by God as a check on irrational emotionalism. Christianity carried that teaching forward as well. As the Bible has almost no impact and Christians have waning impact, we see the irrational and emotional gaining ascendancy. Even so, come Lord Jesus.
Careful. Remember, Gamaliel warned even the religious leaders, in Acts 5:34, that they might be fighting against God with their denials of what they were positive "could not be of God."
