how about only state schools and no faith schools so that all get the same and best or better education - religion should be taught at home and in bible study or other Church or religious groups - this would be fair all round as some faiths do not have faith schools but have to accept the status quo - twinc

Twinc you should know better than what you are suggesting. Only state schools already teach a lot of garbage with regard to God's truth according to both Catholics and Protestants who really care about God. If the little bit of good that does creep into state school curriculums were to be removed, those people who have no church connection and no faith school connection would receive even less Truth than they do now. For me Truth is Jesus.

no doubt - but religion is a parental and Church responsibility and not a Tom, Rick or Pat free for all - less truth you mean mixed up, messed up, misleading and confusing garbage - twinc

Some few teachers in public schools really do believe in God. There is not a lot they can do, but when they can they do give something good [from God] to hungry hearts that they meet in the classrooms. Would you remove even that by man's law?

where there is a will there is a way - I would 100% improve on it by making full and further use of our secular schools by having full and regular religious classes in the evenings and weekends free to all and any mixed and or separate etc - no more splitting hairs or bananas - twinc

That might be good, twinc, but you already know that men would not allow it to happen or if it were available men would choose not to participate. Supposedly education today is mandatory up to certain age in the United States. Could your suggestion be made mandatory for the same age groups?

Schools exist to educate, that includes what other people believe in there religeon and something about the bible and what Christians believe.

Yes teaching Christianity by non christians is always going to fail, but that is an area that Christians can and should get involved in.

Churches can band together to pay for talented teachers to work in schools in there education area. Many schools jump at the chance of a qualified teacher coming to take the religoue education classes for free.

After school or lunch time clubs can build on the exposure to Christianity.

Should Christianity be driven out of public education?
