One of my favourite hymns is based on that passage, Great is They Faithfulness. This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.

And I always think if you are waiting for something or somebody there are two ways to wait. We can wait impatiently, getting up and looking all the time or we can wait pro-actively and fill in our time usefully until the waited for event or person arrives.
Love the old hymns!
Me too, but churches today seem only interested in the new songs which are featured on some worship groups latest CD. They don't have the same 'heart' or the same power to move you as the old ones. And have you noticed how a lot of the songs hey sing these days are more like prayers - give m Lord, touch me Lord etc instead of being about Him. More prayer and petition than praise and worship.Love the old hymns!
Just so. I like to sing about God, not me.Me too, but churches today seem only interested in the new songs which are featured on some worship groups latest CD. YES! I believe when we enter His tabernacle to worship it should be ALL about Him! Sometimes when singing I wiil change the word to YOU...example....He is the King of Kings He is the Lord of Lords...I will sing to Him not about Him....You are the King of Kings You are the Lord of Lords....etc.Me too, but churches today seem only interested in the new songs which are featured on some worship groups latest CD. We were considering this Psalm recently.
