A few middle-eastern people who's mental heath is questionable joined a terrorist organisation which has nothing to do with Islam, and did a terrible terrorist attack. = Islam is about violence! Let's burn their holy books, insult muslims and blaim all of them for something a few of them did. Islam is satans work!!!!!!!

The actions of 9/11 involved men who were muslim. There is no argument or debate about that.
The actions of 9/11 involved a Muslim organization called al-quaeda. There is some debate about that, but most agree it is true.
The Qur'an requires violence to advance the religion. Those who read the book know this to be true.

The issue is NOT about a few madmen. The issue is about a LOT of Muslim radicals.
One ought to know a bit about Islam before condemning the whole lot or before embracing the bunch.

According to what I've read the religion is divided into two main groups; Sheia and Sunni.
Generally, the differences are based upon theological interpretations of two holy books; the Qur'an and the Hadith.
It is rather like the divisions and differences in Christianity between the Protestants and the Catholics.

The main argument in both religions is not the words of the book, but rather who is best suited to interpret the scripture.
Catholics believe that the pope has the ultimate interpretation of the Bible (more or less) and Protestants believe in individual interpretation (more or less).

Same thing with Sheia and Sunni Muslims (more or less).

The REAL ISSUE as ever is the power of authority and the power over the minds of millions.
It rests in the man or men who interpret the book(s) and thus determine human actions either peaceful or warlike.
A lot of Muslims, like a lot of Christians, have no idea what is really written in their own holy book.
They just listen to the priest/rabbi/preacher/mullah or imam and do what he or she says to do.

It's all about power.
None of the boys in the back room really care about God or what He wants.
Middle East nations, like western nations, enjoy a mixture of their special religious flavors.
Some, like Saudi Arabia, have large communities of both sects (sunni & sheia), while others like Iran are ruled by one exclusive branch (sheia).

Islam is not simple and neither is middle east politics and religion.
IMO for the USA, it is none of our political business.
We should withdraw.
