People have no idea how slick the spirit world is, full of trickters and how these ancient deceiving spirits pose as God or Jesus and speak false spiritual messages to people. The person feels chosen, special and feel that they must believe these spirits because how can it not be from God? The deception compounds because it's like a virus, it's not just one person deceived , it's that they become a mouthpiece for the demonic spirits and start teaching & misleading other people.
Have you noticed those who really promote tongues seems to be more about the emotions that anything productive?
Oh c'mon now , that sounds like you're just being all negative.
I'm kidding of course, because this seems to be the common attack by some.

I agree, it SHOULD be the Core Issue , right?
All these living souls are at stake? Men & women, Little boys & girls growing up not hearing God's clear message from the pulpit? No one can afford to pay for their own sins, so repent & believe on Jesus Christ. The day is soon approaching when the church will be gone and the gentile door will be closing.Already some who are born again by grace though faith alone in Jesus & know that the Bible is the inerrant word of God people are feeling lonely for fellowship of like-minded believers, because they cannot fine denominations are teaching the whole counsel of God including the bible prophecy.
Rom 5:1, Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Rom 5:2, By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Rom 5:3, And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
Rom 5:4, And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
Rom 5:5, And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Gal 5:22, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
It has been explained in this way: it is like a train in which the engine is fact, there is a car that follows that is faith, and the car trailing behind it is feeling.
If you make feeling the first car it will not work very well because feeling is not an engine; it is only a car that is pulled along by the engine.
However, feeling concerning the Holy Spirit is important:
Eph 4:17, This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
Eph 4:18, Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
Eph 4:19, Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
Eph 4:20, But ye have not so learned Christ;
Eph 4:21, If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

Faith is a feeling. It is a Knowing that God has heard you and
has responded even before your request. The feeling that God
knows your circumstances is your proof that He exists. And
then He proves that He knows.
That's how answered prayer works.
Faith is not a feeling , it is a change of mind to BELIEVE.
John 1:12
"12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—
John 3:16
"16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
John 3:18
"18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son."
John 3:36
"36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them."
John 6:35
"35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty."
