So what is ........God's Peace?
Is there more then one type?
So what is "peace" as we the redeemed should understand the 2 types?
There is "peace" that the world gives. John 14: 27
This is a carnal feeling, fleshy, and its based on pursuit and lust. And once achieved the effect of this type of worldly peace, is that it fades and leaves you the same as it found you. = Full of "empty".
Jesus said, the peace that I give, "is not AS the World Gives"... John 14:27 So, we see from the words of Yeshua Himself, that there is a type of feeling that the world gives, that is not related to what He gives.
Then you have these verses that are directed only to the born again... "and let the Peace of God rule in your heart".. Colossians 3:15 "God the Lord will speak peace to His people".. Psalm 85:8 "and the work of righteousness shall be Peace"... Isaiah 32:17
So to understand what this all means, is important, and seeing it will help you comprehend the severe distinction between what the world calls "peace", as compared to "the Peace of God that passes all understanding". Philippians 4:7
So, then.....what is the peace of God?
Well the answer is........Jesus. Himself. He IS Peace. He is the Prince of Peace.. And This is why this verse says....."now the LORD OF PEACE HIMSELF = Give you peace"..
2 Thessalonians 3:16
And how does He do this, and why can't the world do the same?
Well, the world is not Jesus, and Jesus is not the world or of the world. The world has no Peace because it does not accept Jesus or want Him. So, the Christ rejecting world has no peace and having none, it can't offer any. How could it?
But the born again, have peace. We have Jesus in Us, who IS peace, and we have eternal peace with God, because of the Blood of Jesus.
JESUS, who IS Peace is living inside us, if we are born again... = We have Peace.
Jesus IS Peace. We have peace with God because Jesus who IS Peace, has made this happen for all the born again.
Salvation from God, and Peace with God, are the same.
Both are based on the Blood of Jesus.
So, ALL This is one more building block of revelation, regarding Salvation, that you need to understand.. Saint.
The simple revelation is, that Jesus IS Salvation. And so, if you have Him, if you are born again, then you are SAVED and for Eternity, because you have the one Who HIMSELF IS :
1. Grace
2. Peace
3. Redemption
4. Eternal Life
5. Justification
6. Sanctification
7. LOVE
8. Assurance
9. Salvation
10. The Blood Atonement
ALL The born again have "Peace with God", because the One who IS Peace, Jesus the Lord, has eternally/spiritually joined us to God with His blood.. We are joined to Christ, Christ is God, and all are "One".. "In Christ".
This is our confidence of Salvation, of having God's Peace.
Jesus is our Peace, and Jesus's Blood gives us peace with God.
