As you follow along with Paul you will begin to understand Paul and how he gave to us the greatest wording in all of scripture "Christ in you the hope of glory." What a magnanimous individual to be called on the road to Damascus, the Lord hollering out of heaven "Saul, why do you persecute me, why kick against the pricks." Watch as Paul's life unfolds in scripture to the greatest understanding that is written. Paul the Apostle to the gentiles fulfilled his mission of bringing into this earth the message that was so extreme to a human beings knowledge that they could only understand it by the Holyspirit teaching. Paul gives to the believer the word "revelation," what he says about revelation is no man can understand the gospel on his own. It would take as Jesus described the one that would come from the father to transform a human being, the Holyspirit. The Holyspirit according to what is written about him is he would be the one to reveal Christ to the believer. A very specific knowledge that would go with scripture, Spirit taught knowledge is revelation. Jesus said that the Holyspirit when he comes he will teach you me, he will reveal to the believer "Christ in you."
According to scripture the main mission and ministry of the Holyspirit would be to reveal Christ to a individual believer. The knower (the eyes of your understanding) of the believer would be turned on by the Holyspirit, in that day (Pentecost) you shall know something. In layman terms; the Holyspirit was poured out on all humanity for a very specific purpose, that was to reveal Christ, make Christ known. Not just any Christ but the Christ in you. So in your mind to have the Holyspirit doing all these things people believe for and to help them in life and give them what they need is a far cry from the ministry of the Holyspirit that Paul would purport. That happens for a season but that is not the main ministry of the Holyspirit. He is soulish, he is in the soul of man to reveal Christ to them. Because he is the teacher of Christ and revealer of the Christ in you. That puts him in the soul of man where your understanding is located, in the mind which is soul.
Very important for the believer to divide soul and spirit. The spirit of man is the completed part of man by Christ, and the soul is being completed, and the body will be completed. Pretty simple but that little tid bit seems to escape some and they struggle with their understanding. You can believe anything today because just about everything under the sun is taught in religion and Christianity except the Son as your life revealed by the Holyspirit. Men use the Holyspirit to their gain, at least they think they do. Some do because they are professional religionists that use your excitement about the things of God to dupe you. What they do is bad enough but what they do not do is worse. They cannot give the Holyspirit his proper position and the understanding of it, they are swindlers and you will be hood winked if you follow their vain instructions on how to get things from God.
It is the sad truth of religion that men love money more than they love God. It shows by their message, they have all the right things to say. You will not spot most of them because they know exactly what to say, how to say it, and when to say it.
Paul would say my gospel was taught to me by "the revelation of Jesus Christ." Christ revealed in Paul is "the gospel" according to Paul, Galatians 1:11-12. If the gospel you understand is not based on the person of Jesus Christ revealed in you by the Holyspirit then you do not have Paul's gospel. It cannot be stated any clearer than what Paul wrote, and if you are not following Paul as he said then you are not hearing the full gospel. You can get bits and pieces but you are left wanting because you have not heard the full gospel.
