The media cannot be trusted...but we all know that. Don't we? If you're in doubt, and you have your favourite web-site...paper...tabloid...television...network that you rely on for "truth", take note of the following from what one would consider a truly reliable source...a newspaper man. ;)

John Swinton, Chief of Staff for the New York Times, who was considered to be
the dean of his profession, made a most revealing statement in 1953. At a New
York Press Club dinner, Swinton declared,
There is no such thing, at this date of the world’s history, in America, as an
independent press. You know it, and I know it. There is not one of you who dares
to write your honest opinions, and if you did, you know beforehand that it would
never appear in print. I am paid weekly for keeping my honest opinion out of the
paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar salaries for similar
things, and any of you who would be so foolish as to write honest opinions would
be out on the streets looking for another job. If I allowed my honest opinions to
appear in one issue of my newspaper, before twenty-four hours my occupation
would be gone. The business of the journalists is to destroy the truth; to lie
outright; to pervert; to vilify; to fawn at the feet of mammon, and to sell his
country and his race for his daily bread. You know it, and I know it and what folly
is this toasting an independent press? We are the tools and vassals of rich men
behind the scenes. We are the jumping jacks; they pull the strings and we dance.
Our talents, our possibilities and our lives are all the property of other men. We
are intellectual prostitutes.

So where do we go if we want to know certain facts regarding modern politics...history...finance etc? Obviously not the media. Nor I would imagine anyone else that the owners of the media control. Such as the banks or corporations that rule the financial world. It is said that if you want to know who is in control...follow the money. I have read many books on this subject. Coming from different perspectives and with different motives, yet all agree on the base assumptions and conclusions they come to. Except for one. This one digs just a smidgeon deeper. Rather than settling on the usual suspects...Illuminati...Rothschilds...CFR...UN...Freemasons...Bilderbergers etc etc, using a variety of sources and putting it all together, this author, sadly not renowned for his literary talents nor for his editing skills, has nevertheless put together a very interesting read. Albeit long, he cites a number of authors and paints a curious picture as to the leading power behind Communism...the Federal Reserve Bank...the World Wars...the US Civil war...Vietnam...numerous assassinations and coups...and I would add the current tension in the US over Trump and the ongoing conflict between socialist policies and conservative policies and the fight to retain the constitution. The US does not have an enemy clamouring for entry at the gates...he is already in control, has been for all intents and purposes since the early 19th century, with a steadily tightening grip since, and the only step remaining is for the US to surrender its full sovereignty and religious and political freedoms. One more world war or a man made (natural) disaster would do it. The title of this read is The Enemy Unmasked. It is freely available online in PDF format. Oh, and the upside of this is that it is fully in harmony with Bible prophecy. Just sayin'.

(John Swinton)

Agree.

Regarding publications and general media, Sensationalism over the Truth captures the public's attention and sells.

Glory to God,
