    What is it?
    Is it compatible with Christianity?

    Go forth and discuss!

Many people treat Free Masonary as if it was the boogey man.
Personally, I see it as a social club that (like all groups) is what that person makes of it.

It started out as a place where intellectuals could meet and discuss ideas - which is always scary to the establishment

Oh man, this could be interesting to say the least.

As I understand it, it's different depending on who you are. I understand that there's three groups, according to them:
    -the public - non-Freemasons
    -the lower tiers of Freemasonry
    -the higher tiers of Freemasonry

Freemasons, from a public viewpoint, is a "secret society", but more like a fraternity (as Freemasons would like themselves to be known as to the general public).

Freemasons, from the lower-tier grouping, are a fraternity of "good guys" regardless of your faith, they are all-inclusive, as long as you believe in a or some sort of diety.

Freemasons, from the higher-tier grouping, are an inner circle of people who acknowledge and worship satan, and use to their own goals, and deceive, the lower-tier and general public about who "is their God" and who they worship.

Political, business, and government connections are utilized to further their organization, and satan's ultimate plan for ruling the earth publicly (once the rapture begins or the tribulation begins, depending on what you believe is true, if at all).

Many innocent and good people get deceived into the lower-tier of the organization, while the general public mostly brushes them off as a social club or an organization.

There's a lot of information out there that would take a person a long time to sift through. Some of the leaders of Freemasons have written books, which should narrow down what the rest of the organization is taught as a way to live life.

Whoa! Well, that is one way to look at it.
I know the Catholic Church believes it is incompatible with Christianity - of course, they created their own version with the Knights of Columbus - I am sure I will be getting blow back from that statement...

So what about Shriners? And other mason type groups?

That's all information I've read, summarized. I've never been in the group, for the record.

Check out some links on them, from Christian sources:
    -https://www.christianforums.com/threads/is-freemasonry-really-satanic.8044783/
    -https://www.bibleprobe.com/freemasonry.htm

As for the Shriners, I believe they are part of the lower-tier groups, that put on a public persona of being a charity to further the goal that they are "good". satan wants to be "God" afterall, and satanists think he is good, and God is evil.

Shriners - They're an Arabic organization (and arabs do not hold Christian beliefs, obviously) ( Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine (AAONMS, anagram for A MASON).

Checkout their logo: Shriners - Wikipedia.
It's a sword (something about one of their forefathers who didn't keep to the blood oath and was killed by fellow members for slipping their secrets), and a pharoah's headress. Egypt is considered part of the "mystery babylon" that has been rolled up from previous empires and religions. God, in the book of Revelation, is against "mystery babylon", the one-world religion during the tribulation, with satan claiming to be "God".

Which other mason groups did you mean other than Shriners? Illuminati? I think the Illuminati is a competing organization, although still under the umbrella of satan.

Please don't answer if you're not comfortable with my question. Are you a Freemason?

Then if you don't mind me asking, why do you tire of people making it the boogeyman? If there's evidence that it isn't what it purports to be to the general public, isn't it a good thing when it's exposed, so that Christians don't fall into the deception?

When was this, hundres of years ago, or thousands of years ago (in Egypt, through the Greek empire, then through the Roman empire, then the British empire, now in USA's empire)?

Because I'm against fear-mongrolling and find that such "we need to expose these people!" tactics are a giant distraction from real issues and more important things. Like: are you humble? Are you loving the Lord your God with all you heart mind and soul?

    Ok, thanks for the reply.

Just out of curiousity, do you not think it's important that we watch out for our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ to not fall into the snare of the devil? To care for others?

We as followers of Christ are called to care for strangers, homeless, etc, so doesn't that apply to ourselves also?

If you love your brother: then 2) get down on your knees and love & follow Christ the best you can, 2) love your fellow man.

Isn't letting someone know of something that is bad for them, if they don't know it, "love your fellow man"?

2 Corinthians 6:15 "what concord hath Christ with Belial? Or what portion hath a believer with an unbeliever?"

I'm sure you're probably getting close to being tired of me asking, so I'll cease. Thanks for your replies.

    I"m going to be blunt:
"Sam" having it be his number one priority to tell "Bob" how "Fred" is an evil person and secretly the boogeyman strikes me more as sinful gossip and fear--mongroling then anything resembling love.

Rather, if Sam loves God, Sam should have his #1 priority to be the most humble disciple of Christ he can be. And second priority to be humbly and lovingly serve both Bob and Fred. Not preaching at them. Serving them and having Christ's love shine through usually without words.

Hmm, that's odd ;) I don't know of them, so I can't comment. If they're another mason group, then they're under the umbrella of satan, in my opinion.
