Can you cite a modern day example of a fulfilled prophecy?

Something prophesied in our time? Fulfilled in our time?

Recently I was remembering a preacher I heard over forty years ago. He was called George Miller and he spoke of the disintegration of society as we knew it at that time. It was very prophetic.

• He spoke of the collapse of the pillars of our society:
  
• The break up of family life.
  
• The failing health service.
  
• The decline in educational standards.
  
• The pressures on the judicial system.
  
• The decline in media standards.
  
• The failings in the world of finance and commerce.
  
• And the lack of integrity in politics.

We don’t have to look far to see that these prophecies are coming true all around us but I have no fear because I know with complete certainty that whatever happens in the world, I belong not to that world but to God’s Kingdom.

It was a very long time ago and I can't remember. I think he must have done though because he spoke every night for a week. I just remember that he was awesome. And the prophetic word he brought has come true.
