I am having to adapt to a new way of life as I take care of my increasingly frail and helpless husband.

It is giving me a lot more to do than previously and I am well aware that I couldn't do it without God's help.

This morning after I had been doing stuff like washing laundry, folding and putting away dry washing and bringing in my refuse bin I needed to sit down. In fact these days I need to sit for a short time after any task.

Anyway I made a coffee and had a protein bar and sat down for a proper rest as I know it is important not to get too exhausted. As I sat there I likened it to our cordless landline phones which have to be placed on their little cradles to re-charge their batteries. But God is my power source.

And these last few days encouraging verses have just popped up all over the place and have been a very personal message. The living word of the Living God. I can't put into words how wonderfully encouraging this has been.

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. . . . . . but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:29-31

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart . . . . But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge; Psalm 73:26-28

Dear sister in Christ, keep on keepin on!
Isa 35:8And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.

Thank you. That means a lot.
Hi sister.

If you don't mind me asking.

I believe ive been under satanic attacks for last two weeks,, by couple of members. Trying to set me up or Trip me up.

Its harrassment.

Satan will use false brethren to harrass servants of God who have Holy Spirit.

2 Corinthians chapter 2:11

Lest Satan should get an advantage over us. For We are not ignorant of his devices.

My question is.

Have you experienced anything similar in the past or recently ?

In June 2024.

On City bus. As soon as I sat down. A man near me, started verbally abusing me. Yelling at me.

I defended myself and told him were to hang his hat.

He got up and acted like he would physically attack me.

Then he sat down.

Woman in the back of bus yelled, He's not worth it.

They were laughing about it.

Any other members experience anything similar. ??

I know Satan is after body of Christ.

Sure…it is what Scripture describes as Tribulations on this earth….It is the tensions that arise when man against man makes his ‘against’ another personally known.

It is not the devil…but an other whose yields to the influence of the devil.

God bless you,
Glory to God,

Just to update those who are following this thread, my husband - my lovely Ray - lost his battle with pneumonia on Friday afternoon. In the end he had a beautiful passing with children and grandchildren with him. He chose to go, he said he was ready and they disconnected his oxygen. Later I asked God for a word and as I read my bible with the 'Our Daily Bread' devotional later on Friday evening - Joshua 3:7-17. The sentence in the booklet that spoke to me was "When we trust God with our lives, He gives us the courage to move forward," and the prayer at bottom of the page was. 'Dear God, I need Your courage. Please help me to step out in faith.'

Great is His faithfulness.

I am amazed how well I am doing. I think probably because it has been something that was inevitable and I had prayed for God's help to cope when it did eventually happen. He was my love but I had to let him go as it was what he wanted, what he had wanted for quite some time as he grew ever more helpless and frail. We don't have a death certificate yet and until we do there isn't much we can do. All the stuff that needs doing is quite daunting but I will cope with it all with the help of my son and daughters.

Good morning @Pearl! I am happy to hear that you are a positive support for your Husband and Family. I hope and pray that God will bless you and your family much. He desires for all to receive of the Life and Heaven he has to offer and blessings here on earth as well.

Thank you for the update and positive message! Getting my coffee next and waking up on this Sunday, so I suppose I will be trying to add positively to Christianity and the Christians.

Hi @dev553344 I'm sorry to say my husband died of pneumonia on Sept 6th. I am experiencing the peace that transcends understanding. We have not had the funeral yet. He wanted to go though, he had had enough of being so frail and helpless. I know he is with Jesus. Just before the end he suddenly sat up and began joking with the grandkids - a glimpse of the old, lovely Ray which was lovely. He was my soul-mate, the love of my life for 53 years but I had to let him go. I have had that strong support from God and like I said that peace that is like no other. I will find a picture of him and post it.

He is wearing his football shirt, bought for him on his seventieth birthday. He was 85 when he died.

Sorry to hear that, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I am happy that the Lord brings you peace. When my mother passed it was the Lord that brought me peace of the Holy Spirit as well. It is a nice picture to share, thank you.
