I am having to adapt to a new way of life as I take care of my increasingly frail and helpless husband.
It is giving me a lot more to do than previously and I am well aware that I couldn't do it without God's help.
This morning after I had been doing stuff like washing laundry, folding and putting away dry washing and bringing in my refuse bin I needed to sit down. In fact these days I need to sit for a short time after any task.
Anyway I made a coffee and had a protein bar and sat down for a proper rest as I know it is important not to get too exhausted. As I sat there I likened it to our cordless landline phones which have to be placed on their little cradles to re-charge their batteries. But God is my power source.
And these last few days encouraging verses have just popped up all over the place and have been a very personal message. The living word of the Living God. I can't put into words how wonderfully encouraging this has been.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:29-31
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart . . . . But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge; Psalm 73:26-28

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. . . . . . but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:29-31
