GOD Said “Us” and “Our”; JESUS Was There With GOD From The Beginning = Genesis 1;26-28

Genesis 1;26-28

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Genesis 3:21-24

Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them. And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So He drove out the man; and He placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

John 1:1-5

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

John 1:10-14

He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not. He came unto his own, and his own received Him not. But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of GOD. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of Grace and Truth.

John 1:17-18

For the law was given by Moses, but Grace and Truth came by JESUS CHRIST. No man hath seen GOD at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, He hath declared Him.

John 8:56-59

Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. Then said the Jews unto Him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. Then took they up stones to cast at Him: but Jesus hid Himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

JESUS Was There With GOD From The Beginning

Jesus was there alright, but not in the person of a human being, rather; he
was there in the person of his alter ego: The Word of John 1:1-3.

The pronouns us and our in the first chapter of Genesis refer to God in three forms:

God as himself (Gen 1:1)

God as his Spirit (Gen 1:2)

God as his voice, a.k.a. the Word. (Gen 1:3)

Absolutely ALL True

Be careful of those who make the false claim that the Word was "a god"

FAQ: Why does the Watchtower Society (a.k.a Jehovah's Witnesses)
translate the Word in John 1:1 as a god in lower case instead of God in
upper case?

REPLY: The Watchtower Society's translation is based upon an imaginary
grammatical technicality.

The common Greek word for "god" is theós (theh'-os). When it's modified by
the little Greek definite article "ho" the Society translates theós in upper
case, viz: in the Society's theological thinking; ho theós pertains to the one
true God, while theós by itself is somewhat flexible, for example John 1:18
and John 20:17 where the Society translates it in upper case though it
be not modified by ho.

However, according to Dr. Archibald T. Robertson's "Grammar Of The Greek
New Testament", page 767: in regards to nouns in the predicate; the article
is not essential to speech. In other words: when theόs is in the predicate, the
article can be either used, or not used, without making any real difference.

So then; a translator's decision whether to capitalize either of the two theόs
in John 1:1 or not to capitalize them, is entirely arbitrary rather than
dictated by a strict rule of Greek grammar.

Of course the Society prefers that the Word be a lower case god because
that spelling is agreeable with their version of his status; whereas regular
Christians prefer the upper case because that spelling is agreeable with their
version of The Word's status; while in reality, either spelling is acceptable.

Thank you for sharing this info.

One thing i would add is the Word's status is firmly and irrevocably connected to the opening declaration that "God was in the Beginning......"

Inserting a lower case 'god' would then become violently antagonistic against the entirety of OT Scripture beginning with Genesis and moving forward thru the Prophets.
Most especially Isaiah who spoke by the Holy Spirit and penned the "One God/Elohim" Credence and Mandate, concerning Whom the Holy Scriptures definitively speak of, as there be many "gods" but only One True God/Elohim.

Furthermore, had the apostle John used or intended 'a god', he would be an apostate from the true Yahweh of Israel.

Under the Code of the Torah/ Law, John would be guilty of being a false prophet in leading the people of Israel astray from the One True God/Elohim.
As such, John and all who who make such claims of "a god" would be condemned to death.
