(Pariah;23422)
goldy,The Lord is always with you for you have been bought with a price, so you will never be alone, but you are not abiding in Him. I pray that someday the Lord shall restore the joy of your salvation soon so that you may rest in Him as it is, you are labouring in unbelief. From the catechism below:"There are seven sacraments in the Church: Baptism, Confirmation or Chrismation, Eucharist, Penance, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders, and Matrimony." Pg. 289, #1113 "The Church affirms that for believers the sacraments of the New Covenant are necessary for salvation." Pg. 292, #1129Romans 11: 5Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. 6And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. Romans 4: 13For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. 14For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect: 15Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.Romans 10: 2For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. 3For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. 4For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. Romans 3: 26To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. 27Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. 28Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. ( or the sacraments) Ephesians 2: 8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Thus the good works of catholicism are dead works for they deny Him as being able as Saviour. It is loving others to tell the truth so that they may be found abiding in Him is the call of the day as God enables His faithful witnesses to do by His grace also.I love you with Christ's love, goldy, so that He may cause the increase and deliver you from labouring in unbelief so that you may rest in Him as the Saviour.
Thanks for preaching to me Pastor Pariah, but I'm not really sure how to take this post. On the one hand, it seems like you really care about my salvation. Thank you!! But on the other hand, it seems like you are preaching to me about the "Evil Catholic Church". Sorry brother, but I think I'll stick with the Church (The pillar and bullwork of the truth, 1 Tim.3:15).
