Yes. And here's the YouTube video that proves it.

Oh look here is a video which claims global warming is a hoax.

So did you even bother to watch the YouTube I posted juggernaut? Because it actually shows Greenland's glaciers melting and actually shows the black soot covering the top of the ice which is causing the ice to melt faster.

The Heartland institute is a conservative think tank that is funded by industries - would you also like to post a YouTube video claiming cigarettes do not cause cancer, presented by a think tank funded by big tobacco companies? I am sure they are out there

We've been in a warming period since the 20th century began.

It'll take at least another quarter of a century or more to get Greenland back to the farmland it used to be when the Danes used it.

If you're 20 to 25 start thinking of investing in Canadian wine soon.

Environmentalists and governments are worried about the increasing ice in the seas around the antarctic. Access to the mainland is proving more difficult, and the usual ships they have been using are proving inadequate to break the ice. Work that out.

Bottom line:

Climate changes. It has done so for approximately 6,000 years (LOL, see what I did there).

We can't control it. We have ruined things here in many ways, but climate isn't one of them per se.

I have often wondered why they call Greenland its name as it is ice. And Iceland its name as it is green?

Yes the vast right wing conspiracy rears its ugly head.

Have we by our choices ruined our chance at paradise here on Earth? Yes. A literal interpretation of Genesis clearly teaches this.
Does one need to extrapolate the unihabitability of the planet complete with doomsday prophecies and dystopian society? Of course not. God is in control. Not man. Not Gore. Not YouTube video channels. Wait, check out this video about God being in control. It's on YouTube so you know it's true.

The popular myth was Iceland was named to discourage immigration and be diverted to Greenland. Of course that's a myth.

Iceland has had three names but the last one Iceland stuck because of the huge glaciers, taller than in Europe.

Greenland was named by Eric the red to encourage immigration because at the time due to climate change it was very green in areas.

Sadly when the mini ice age came Greenland lost much of is ariable land.

So there you have it. Iceland because of thick ice, Greenland because it was good real estate advertising.

And Iceland is awesome. The air is so clean it distorts your vision. And the people are the nicest I've ever met. Only kiwis and Canadians come next.

Then the rest of Scandinavia, Seychelles and the Laotians come after that.

I find the Japanese the worst as they are outwardly nice but extremely bigoted and spiteful behind your back. At least the French show they don't like you to your face.

Of course it isn't my generation that will suffer (we will be witness to the natural world melting, burnning, down, and going extinct - it will be our children and grand children). We are currently watching glaciers melt 60 years faster than predictions 20 years ago - how can you stand singing with your hand in the sand, CJ?

This is a video from 2013 about global warming. We have failed our charge to be keepers of our environment.

Greenland is melting while scientists are leaving Antarctica because it's getting too cold to work there. This is normal for the earth. One pole will warm and the other cool.

One of the problems with this issue is the extremes that get tossed around. Yes global warming is happening, and yes we are the primary driver of it. Obviously there are going to be many consequences, ranging from barely noticeable to "OH MY GOSH THIS IS TERRIBLE". However, the earth will still be here and will be habitable, just not in the way we're used to.

The really sad thing is it'll be mostly the poorer parts of the world that will suffer the most. Right now we're seeing the effects of rising seas (incursion of salt water into fresh water aquifers, higher storm surges, loss of coral reefs), but as this continues while developed places like Florida and the Netherlands may be able to hold it off for a bit, poorer areas like Bangladesh probably won't. What do we do with the people there as they start to leave? Who's going to take them and feed them? There's also good evidence that a historic drought was a major factor in the Syrian uprising. As the climate warms further, situations like that are only going to become more common.

And finally, I read an article today indicating that climatologists are now being criticized for underselling just how much warming we are going to experience. They've been under a lot of pressure from political leaders to paint a less dire picture, and present one that shows while things are getting worse, we still have lots of time to fix our ways. So they overestimate things like future carbon sequestration, green energy development, and emission reductions. Put all those together and suddenly we can keep doing what we're doing now for at least the next couple of decades. And if you're a politician, that's all you need.

It is not normal at all. Glaciers that have not melted for hundreds of thousands of years are melting.

By the way POM - Greenland was called green because of the coastlands where the Danes settled. Never in the history of modern mankind has Greenland been free of ice.

<< It is not normal at all. Glaciers that have not melted for hundreds of thousands of years are melting. >>

Right and Antarctica is getting record thickness ice and record cold temperatures.

Did you bother to read the article?

Yep, extreme temperatures are a consequence of global warming

Before the invention of the fraudulent hockey stick graph from which global warming is mainly based on, the chairman of the intergovernmental panel on climate change produced a book on global warming titled 'Global Warming: The Complete Briefing' in 1994. In the first and second edition, they show the meteorological conditions from primarily the medieval age of the years 1100 to 1300 showing that it was much warmer in those days then it is today. In the third edition of the book, it was clear that somebody was trying to pull a con, because this period just disappeared into a black hole with the fraudulent hockey stick graph to give the false impression that its been warmer in the 21st century when it hasn't even been close, obviously to push a political agenda.

So no worries folks, the climate is not out of control, and if you believe the hype coming from the climate cults, then you obviously don't believe the word of God when it clearly states that by God all things consist. While we are supposed to be stewards of the earth, its not our job as Christians to "conserve the environment", that is the Lord Jesus Christs job as the creator and sustainer of the heavens and the earth. Knowing this, I can assure you that black soot will not melt a damn thing unless God allows it to happen, and this is assuming this is even true and there isn't another con being pulled with the data as I've found throughout the years.

Really?!

So we are simply supposed to sit back, eat some poisonous microwave popcorn and watch Greenland and Antartica melt? We are also probably too late to fight for rights to exploit the new ocean at the North Pole too, right? Meanwhile, California and Oregon are consumed by wildfire and all costal cites are submerged in the ocean.....nice

How ironic that eschatology is so popular among certain Christians and yet, they ignore the Earth falling down around them. We have it all backwards and the world can see it
